08 G37S on Vossen CV3's
I have an 08 Infiniti G37S 6mt and up until recently did bolt on mods and hidden mods but didn't do anything cosmetic to it until now. Last month at the Simply Clean 4 event in Daytona I won the raffle done by Vossen for a set of their rims. Once this happened, I kicked everything else into overdrive to get the car ready for the new rims and over the last month installed Tein H-tech lowering springs and Vossen VVSCV3 Rims in Matte Silver finish size 20x10.5 all around wrapped in 255/30/20 BFGoodrich KDW2 tires. Diego and Mike at Vossen were very helpful in explaining offsets and what setup i would need to get inorder to run the dual concave 10.5 rim all around. I couldn't be happier with the end result, and am anxiously waiting for the springs to finish settling so i can see the final stance.....anyway, on to the pictures:
Here's how it looked before i lowered and put the rims on it: http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d6...920FD8D531.jpg Heres 3 days after i lowered it, preparing the car for the rims: http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d6...92078D152B.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d6...92095C82F3.jpg And here she is now (the first 4 pictures are the day i got the rims put on (last wednesday) and the rest are pictures from the week i've taken as its begun settling): http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d6...9F005C05C6.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d6...9F029E2FB4.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d6...9F04B9159F.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d6...9F06F5E532.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d6...412820F931.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d6...412626C5B7.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d6...4124247F8D.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d6...41223160C1.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d6...4120242E59.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d6...411E359914.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d6...411C356BCE.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d6...4118A1C988.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d6...ps804e4179.jpg |

Whoever mounted your tires did a crap job. There is no reason for all this lead:
http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d6...411C356BCE.jpg The tire manufacturer puts different color dots on the tires to let the mounter know where on the rim to position the tire for minimal lead. That much weight shows that the guy who mounted the tire has no idea what he's doing. jcosta, thanks for the information. i remember from highschool that that was too much weight for the rim but really didn't think anything of it. took it to auto glitz in miami to get checked out and have all the tires rebalanced as well as a road force balance. come to find out that tire failed the road force balance test, tire rack is sending me a new tire and should be here tomorrow. definitely learned something from this, thanks for helping and thanks for the compliments!
