Do not do business with STS Turbo!

This is why you should not do busniess with them and im sorry for my grammar im just so mad at them.

Do not buy from STS turbo they take months to finish their bolt on kits on any car it took them 6 months to put on my turbo kit on my car and they wanted full payment within 2 weeks i waited half a year for their basic kit!!! And they would not give me discount is costed over $14k every week after the first month i constantly contacted them and they kept saying the car will be done next week they kept saying for 6 months!!! WTF these guys are lazy, slow and dont give a sh!t about their customers. I want to know can i sue them for having my car for so long and charging me more then their estimation on the price and telling me it would be done in 3 weeks and they kept telling me it would be done the next week for 6 months.

Their is way more stuff to the story i just made it short they kept dodging my phone calls, texts, emails.

Dont think you can sue them unless you sign a contract that stated it will be done within X weeks/months. But atleast you have your car back with the kit setup right?

anthonyy 11-04-2012 07:52 PM

sorry for your troubles. Talk to a professional please.

dastaco 11-04-2012 07:55 PM

Just a thought, perhaps you should post some photos of your car with this turbo kit on it. I'm not saying you're lying, but this could really use some supporting evidence.

I'm still waiting for my car to get done. I just want to let you guys know about my bad experience and wanted to know does it really take this long to install a basic kit? Have any of you guys had this happen to you?

They said on paper work it was 20 hours of labor.

I know in some states you can take a business to court and recover money if the invoice is +10% of the original written estimate.

edub370 11-04-2012 08:52 PM

Well there's a few z' with that kit successfully installed on here. Remember, they are the only people in the world doing a remote mount turbo. **** isn't just plug n play. So are you just gonna go around forum to forum on the internet until nobody buys the kit?

U take a chance by modifying a car from an na engine to accept fi. Nothing is for sure or set in stone. The reason its called a cost estimate is because its exactly what the name describes.. An estimate. If an unforseen problem arises or anything unexpected happens, then price will go up. Modding a car to accept forced induction is not an exact science. If u wanted it done perfectly to you specs, than maybe a self install should have been undertaken.

I'm not completely against u warning people of shady dealings, but understand that companies pushing the limits of these cars need time to do things properly. U would be more mad if they spent 2 months on it and rushed it back to you and your engine grenaded...

6 months....WTF? I would have called back after week 2 and said give me my car back. :bowrofl:

I understand what your saying but i dont think it will take anyone almost 7 months to complete the install. I saw the some Z's and other cars getting this kit done but it was not done by sts it was done by a shop. I'm saying i got this done from the source I still dont have my car back yet.

The original estimation was 14k it shot up to 20k they said the reason why was not parts it was labor they are charging almost 10k in labor so i think they are taking there time on the install in my paperwork it says 20 hours of labor.

If anyone has any advice on what to do please contact me.

im sorry for your experience, i personally cant stand it when a company says it will take 3 weeks than they take longer

i had an experience with a body shop near me, they told me my car was gonna take 2 weeks at the longest before i can get it back, it ended up taking them a month to fix, and they trashed my engine(created a bunch of boost leaks on my turbo eclipse)

i wanted to sue them but i decided to let it go as i dont have the time to go to court
