True, but I'd still buy one if I won a big enough Lotto! :D

I think it's funny how Nissan originally got pissed that the Juke-R and build videos were labeled as Nissan, but weren't actually from the car company. The Juke-R was created by someone else.

Now that the Juke-R has gained popularity, Nissan is backing them up now lol.

the Juke-R was technically "Nissan" it was from a special project unit within nissan europe... i know they are taking orders for these now but its not like these things are coming off the line a the togichi plant.. i think these will be one off made per order by the same team that made the prototype

here is what GTR creator Mizuno-San said about it

Quote:

AutoExpress-What do you think of the Juke R? Were you involved in the project?

Mizuno-No no, I was never contacted about this. The project is nothing to do with the GT-R, it’s a Nissan Europe project. In fact the team that works on the GT-R and the Juke team don’t know each other at all.

AE-So were you angry when you heard about it?

Mizuno-A little bit because I’m proud of the GT-R team, they are all well trained and work hard and honestly. It’s a pure and precious project, not one that needs to be publicised by putting the engine in another model.

NISSAN ON DRUGS AGAIN NISSAN Juke-R $590,000

Nissan Juke-R vs. Porsche 911 GT2 RS - CAR and DRIVER - YouTube

Nissan is on drugs again and I would never never never!! pay over $100K for a Nissan :shakes head::shakes head::shakes head:

I really fear Nissan is going to the birds:gtfo2:

dmhenderson 08-24-2012 09:58 AM

GT-Rs run 115-120 after taxes and options. I think that's pretty reasonable.

enkei2k 08-24-2012 10:05 AM

Lots of custom fab work involved, plus aftermarket parts. Is that 590k in USD or GBP? If it's GBP that's insane!

Nismo89 08-24-2012 10:13 AM

NIssan said in the past that when it took on this project... of doing the Supercar/SUV cross over.... said its got all the glitz and gadgets of a GTR.... your mind wants to believe your in a GTR.... but your Body looking at the car says otherwise..kinda like a "juicy contradiction",.....Supercar technology, packed tightly (literally) into a much smaller package...not too many other companies have done it before...thus is ground for the high price i assume. that type of technology isnt cheap...plus the money to cut and grind down to make it fit correctly in the Juke...........i agree 590,000 is a bit far fetched.... i know i wouldnt. lol but thats just me

Seems reasonable. I'll take two.

These Jukes aren't being made for the "normal" market. After the first Juke-R prototype was made, there was talk of some very rich people in the middle east asking to purchase it. Nissan saw the opportunity to make some big bucks and took it.

IMO, they will make the Juke-R for prospective high-dollar buyers until the market is fulfilled. Nothing wrong with that.
