Need your help z buds.

So I got my sti. All was great took it to a detail shop corrected paint well what needed of it. Looked fantastic!!

However I had his friend who was once his employee do it. Ive seen this guys work in person and in photos. All of it ranging from complete clear bra'ing a Porsche. Also vinyl wrapping a Lamborghini superveloce.

With that being said he charged me. 850$ and it was in cash. Dumb mistake. 1. Secondly I could only pay him 730 of it.

So before I seen the car I paid him because I seen the integrity and craftsmanship.

However the cuts and tint were awful!! 95% needs to be redone.

Oh not to mention he sliced two parts in my bumper and I'm devastated only having 90 miles on at this point. When I confronted him he said "**** happens bro". Really? Then he told me he didn't do it in the right shop because of my friends detail shop wasn't "adequate" enough. Also said he should of charged me way more and when I asked so you did a shittt job he said that's not what I meant. Then he's like I can fix it bro, you give me a call once I get the rest of my Money bro... (120$). He didn't let me pay with credit card which is dumb. He's weird also deleted me off Facebook so I saves all our messages and when I texted him how it pissed me off he said "who is this", then stated "who are you looking for".

I sent him a text yesterday stating I wanted a refund. He then magically called me four times and I was at work I called him when I got home. No answer.

So I'm stuck with a new car that has below problems shittt tint clear bra and scratch in bumper haven't driven it.
Debating selling back to dealer only if it could be trade. Secondly maybe trusting him to redo the work. Thirdly counting my losses. Or fourth take him to small claims court.

Wow that's terrible man! What a douche. Good luck in whatever you decide. If it were me I wouldn't go back to him.

What would you do?

First off, this ******* sucks and I'm sorry you have to go through this.
Secondly, $850 is not a good deal.
Thirdly, you should have called around to get several price quotes. A friend of a friend is not your friend...

If you really want, you can take him to small claims court. Other than that you're SOL.

I would take his douchebag *** to small claims court. But this is not a quick process by any means...

I agree. But this will take time.

anyone that talks to me with 'bro' at the end of the sentense i dont do business with, basically.

only thing you can do is try to be nice and see if he can fix his mistakes. i doubt he will fix the cuts he did on your bumper though. small claims court sounds good.

worst, peel it off, get a new pre-cut kit and install it yourself.

Small claims court but that can be an uphill battle. Sounds like there isn't much of a paper trail.

Does he have a sister? Cause it looks like he f***ed you so why not return the favor?

k20z3 08-09-2012 12:25 PM

On the contrary I have every Text and fb saved. With pics he sent me I'm so bummed.

The dealer found a guy to get my car if I wanted to do that. For a 2013

ThePhotographer

That's my options
A: leave it alone
B: sell car get 2013
C: call him have him try to repaint it and redo everything

Talk to the Detail shop guy that recommended him, let him see the work himself; he owes you to talk to the guy since he recommended him. Some pressure from him on his friend might get him to fix it before you pay him off. If the knuclehead knows he will not get anymore referals, he may come thru.

k20z3 08-09-2012 11:55 PM

They're actually not talkin because detail guy is pissed.

So now what to do sell or get fixed?!
