for all the toyobaru forum people trolling here lately...
 

realizing that people have been trolling / registering here to post links and what not to spawn forum fights and rage posts, one thing i want to clarify for you. and anyone with a brain should be able to comprehend this logic:

the majority of the people on this forum who have taken an interest in the brz frs car and have posted about it on the MANY threads here, (most of us anyway), do not hate it, are not jealous of it, and probably do not want to own it. the reason for all the smack talk and negative comments about it is simply this...
car enthousiasts here all had high hopes for this car. it has been in the works for a long time, had a lot of hype leading up to it, and toyota was long overdue for a sports car. the problem is, it simply fell short and did not meet expectations for most people. so now we just vent here, blow off steam, and move on with life. we all wanted it to be something great. just like if ferrari or pagani made a new car, nobody wants it to be weak, everyone has high hopes, whether or not we will ever be able to own one. personally i want every car to do 0 - 100 in 2 seconds and turn 90 degrees at 50 mph, but im insane. nobody wants a car to suck. i still like the looks of the car, and from what i can tell it has a lot of good points. but it IS slow, and overpriced for what it is. not everyone will agree with my opinions, but if you dig around, you will find that everyone will have different likes and dislikes about EVERY car, including our own precious Z. so dont instigate bullsh*t, just try to enjoy adult conversation and debate. and stop spamming our forum with your poo.

My old 240sx has far worst handling and chassis compared to the new FRS-BRZ, but I still like it a whole lot more cuz..........POP-UP HEADLIGHTS FTMFW!!!

...that and a whole lot cheaper to fix/replace if I run into crap onto track.

Lastly, if the FRS came out last year instead of the Z, I would've bought the FR-S instead regardless of its price because I want a "sporty" feeling car and the mustang is just on the "big" side during that time period. The Z is a little more true for current gen sport car demand than the FR-S, but lack of trunk space and rear seats make it a huge annoyance afterwards as a daily driver.
