I prefer the scion front bumper to the suby, but would get the suby over the scion because of the interior upgrades available.

Either way, they are just a little too whimpy for my tastes and I felt it would be a downgrade from my S2000 (god I wish Honda still made them, best car I've ever owned hands down!!!!)

S2k love :hello:

I would probably buy the Toyota over the Subaru, unless there were significant performance reasons.

I want to go check out the Scion one of these days. I'd also be fine with cheap cloth seats.

I'm 5'10" and I had plenty of room. Now I can't vouch for what it's like if I hit a twig as I only sat in a parked one, but once I get a chance to test drive one I'll let you know!

If they found a way to keep it @ 2900lb max and have a turbo 275hp/280lbs tq? This car would be speaking volumes to the masses. Keep the price @ 33k max. And this car would rule

While we'd always love more power, that's not the point of this car. It's supposed to be an entry level sports car that offers great performance for the price. It's not supposed to be in the same class as the 370z as its $5k+ cheaper.

Of course the mods you mentioned would be great, but for $33k that defeats the intentions of this car. The Masses want a $25k entry level giggle machine. Those with deeper pockets would go with a Z or something higher in the spectrum.

giggle machine... I like it. :icon17:

I drove it today. I wasn't all that impressed. It is pretty, tossable, and surprisingly roomy for a guy like me, and the clutch is pretty ok.

But it's not as peppy as I'd like, and turn-in disappointed me. For the dough, the Miata is more fun, imo, because you get all that and a top that drops.
