I've seen this a while ago. I had a sort of similar experience. It wasn't a 2x4, but a tire from the opposite lane of the parkway fell off and landed a few feet from from me, the driver, in my old murano. It ripped the entire corner of the car off. I'll upload pics later, but it effing scared the crap out of me.

YouTube description says the two vehicles in front were blocking traffic and being sketchy in general.

I think the rule is your MPH divided by 10 = number of car lengths away from someone you should be.

You can actually see the trailer in front of her hits the 2x4 on the ground and then it flies up. :driving:

Almost happened to my wife and I a couple months ago on 95s in SC. We were following behind a truck carrying pallets and I was getting nerveous about it. I don't follow any vehicles that have potential for debris to fall off of.

Anyway, I was telling my wife to switch lanes and get ahead of this truck and, of course, she was resistant because I am always criticizing her driving. As soon as we moved over 3 pallets came right off.
