Congrats. I love those cars. Oh and are we ever going to have another thread that does not mention the best car in the history of the universe the 5.0?

Yes there were a small number of them within a hundred miles of me that had mileage in the mid 50's priced low to mid 30's.

brake assist = rolls back assist? I drove a 6MT 328xi sedan and it had roll back assist, scared me because the guy said go ahead let it roll back into the car behind you and I was terrified but it barely moved back an inch before it hung itself there... Very nice M3

Went into BMW today to ask the service dept. about getting my car checked out since I just bought it and it's still under factory warranty. Two things happened...

1. Tech asked if I had my key on me to which I replied "yes" and stood up to walk out to the car with him. He said, "where are you going?" then took the key from me, plugged it into his computer and proceeded to give me all the current stats on my car. I was like whaaaaaaaaaat?

2. He tells me I'm due for a few things and takes me over to the other service person to set up my appointment and tells her to get my loaner car ready. Now I was like...:D

Yes it basically = roll back assist. What happens is when you are pointed uphill and you take your foot off the brake while the clutch is engaged, the car stays there. After about a second or two it disengages though. If you tap the brake again, viola! it's on again.

Pretty cool.
