What! No sway bars!!

Okay i gotta rant...i just picked up a 04 MSM today.

I took it for a test drive and i was driving nice because i was with a heavy salesman.

As i take the car home it feels different...Now i've owned 2 other miatas before..and it just felt wierd...it didn't corner very securely.

So i get home and start looking the car over extensively...and then it hits me...the front and rear sways are totally missing!!!

Guess i gotta pick me up a set of sways. :shakes head:

This cant be true, I don't think the car would even drive right without them, the end links would be missing too right? If they are truly not there, then that dealer is retarded for not noticing them missing in the pre-inspection. Take some pics, and post please.

EDIT: I just noticed it was on an 04 MSM, I thought you were referring to your 370Z, sorry my bad :-)

The guy that traded it probably had some nice spec Miata sways and took them off to sell them before trade in, but had nothing to put in its place. That's pretty funny that no one at the dealership noticed, or if they did they hid it well.

maybe thats why the heavy dude went with you

Wow, that's definitely a vital piece of the car.

One of my friends knew who the previous owner (PO) of the car was, and i got to talk to him on the phone. Turns out Chris was right he had some nice after market sways...and removed them just before trading the car in. It was interesting as i got a briefing of the history of the car. Car has good list of mods..and speaking with the PO was a good thing..lots of questions ansewered.
