I'll just leave this here. Saw it at SEMA, and while I admit I haven't been looking for pics of the convertible, this was the first I had seen

This car's looking better and better .

C7 Z06 will debut this Jan at Detriot auto show. Corvette forum has a teaser picture of it. Excited to see the specs on it.

its already been debunked that that image is a fake.

But that's the only image released thus far. |
So, I'm still not a huge fan of this car in it's non-wide body form, but jesus christ...
|
I saw that vid yesterday. Lordy, it sounds amazing!
|
I think I'm in love.

Looks like base price and Z51 package got a price increase. That sucks for me I have been building different versions on the site the last few days and planned on placing an order by the end of the year. Now I may just settle for a used one close to what I wanted.
Base increase plus Z51 Makes its a 6800 increase! |

no Z51 pack but the price was only like 66k on a 3LT with a bunch of options. |
It's a GM. Give it a year to let the hardcore "Vette Guys" get theirs, and then every dealer will be willing to sell one to you under invoice.

or you do what i'll end up doing and snag one at an auction cheap. :tiphat: |

Anyway, this is a very new driveline even though it uses tried and true basis. Give GM a year or two to see what they tweak. The C5 got a ton of tweaks in a couple of years, and so did the C6. I doubt the C7 is any different. The C6 had major improvements nearly every year it was made. |

Seriously, the first YM from GM usually isn't the one you want. Same for most companies, but especially the Corvette. They really do improve it on YM2-3 out. |
oh thanks, rub it in lol
seriously eyeing the new z06/7... both neighbors across the streets put deposits down, not sure I can sit this one out |
That is a bit out of my price range. I just rebuilt one on Chevys site for a couple grand more by ditching upgrades I don't really need. So I'm still excited to order one once I get my down payment saved up.

:excited: I'm all over this Z06 with the Z07 pkg. I wasn't a huge fan of the stingray but the color scheme on the Z06 Changed that. :driving:
Right now I can't drive due to severe neuropathy asan after-effect of chemotherapy. That's y I hsvent posted much the past 6 months. But when the neuropathy where's off? I'm hoping I wil be hopping into a z06 or some type of grand sport type deal...v depending?;) |

A base 1LT might come close. Probably harder to get a Z51 pkg one that low that is relatively clean. Im sure you aren't wanting one with high mileage.

I was just coming in to post this! Amazing. Dying to see the auto go up against the Nismo GT-R. KING KONG vs GODZILLA!

Too bad this Vette ended up crashing. Sounded good though

Yeah it is... But the automatic is better suited to go up against a GT-R for many reasons. 1. GT-R Nismo & Corvette automatic both accelerate in the high 2's. 2. Corvette claims there automatic is quicker to shift than the PDK. And Nissan's DCT in the GT-R has been deemed either equal or better than the PDK in terms of fast shifting. 3. It wouldn't be right if one tester had to row there own while the other had the advantage of paddleshifting. |
The Z06 looks so much better than the base. I can get on board with the Vette now.
Thought about looking for an older C6 to replace the Z, if I can get it for less - but I think they'd be high mileage to get it for a bit less than the Z. |

i'll drive both :tiphat: be back soon with results lol |
