I hope they change the tail lights.... looks too camaro-ish

meh... I still think the Stingray design is most interesting. For a domestic car that starts at $50k, you expect something a little exotic looking.

my dad hada '73 stingray........ white......... it was pure awesome, he'd often catch me when i was little inside the car in the drivers seat going "vrrooom! Vrrooom! powa powa!"

Say what you want about GM, they can keep a secret pretty well. Lets just wait until we see it---but it better have an interior better than their Cruze if they want to sell any of them.

I had a Cruze as a rental once I couldn't even find the dam aux input. The location of it was in the weirdest place. (compared to a 370z of course) :icon17:

That looks horrible! That's gotta be one of the most uninspired designs I've seen. I'm not a huge fan of the C6 but this is a step in the wrong direction, IMO.

I think it looks pretty good. I didn't like the C6 design at first. Called it the "corviper" amongst buddies. It really grew on me. This one probably will, too. The new design, whenever officially unveiled, may tweak this image a bit. Looking forward to NAIAS :tup:

I don't feel the taillights either, but have to see the car in person. My mustang lease is up in 2014! Maybe time to go back to the vette again.

When the c6 came out, ppl flipped their sh*t about the headlights.

Cars change, evolve. And this is just a render. We'll see the real deal at Detroit in January

When it comes to the vette, GM is cheeky and secretive. Don't be surprised when it looks a lot different than everyone is guessing.

Like hell they didn't. The Corvette had flip lights from '63 to '96. It was "tradition" at that point. Then they went with fixed lights.

Over time, it grew on me.

I didn't see it that way... the over all shape and tails is what I saw.. but then again growing up, my uncles Stingray always had the headlights down. lol

I think the last spy shot through one of the videos they keep releasing showed a circle taillight but who knows what they decide in the end.

Why not get the square tail lights? I mean they already went away from pop up headlights and look even more ferrari-esque. Plus the side profile screams GTR to me. It is blocked off almost identical and it doesn't help with the blacked out A-pillars. I am still anxious to see what it looks like at the unveiling. But I still wish they took a queue from SRT with the new Viper and go back to some of the roots of the vette for styling queues. I am not talking retro, just some of the iconic shapes that can only be a vette and work that into the design.

More specifically I don't want it to have the Camaro tail lights from Jalopnik's rendering of it. Those looked terrible.

Yeah, the big issue was some renderings had Camaro taillights and one test car did also so all the Vette owners freaked. They do not want anything to do with the Camaro as the Vette is a "higher caliber" machine.
