na i think it will have atleast a 400-450hp engine or something with maybe a extra 150+ coming from the electrics
|
I can't wait to see what they do with the R36. I would love it if they made it look more exotic.
|
official pricing is released tomorrow but its
95K for the premium and 105K for the black edition up from 89,950 and 95,100 for the black edition in 2012 so quite a steep bump over last year and just think the base model 2009 GTR was 69,900 |

yea pretty much, 5k for the seats and wheels difference, 5k extra for the CF wing. granted that's a discount compared to buying the parts separately but still, i agree, prices are getting mighty steep.
|
another thing is that when the 09 gtr came out, it had a pretty good interior for a 70-75k high performance car. the interior now is basically the same minus a few minor changes (darker trim, higher res nav screen, blue tach accent) but it's not $100k good imo. the performance backs that price up but the interior has lacked any significant additions to justify the price it's commanding now. and even then, we still are getting it way cheaper than anyone else in the world. don't get me wrong, it's not a bad place to be. i would just hope that a car commanding that price would have a little more leather and a little less plastic

technically the CF wing is driving all of it as it costs over 10K itself...but nissan is probably absorbing some of that.... i think its outside factors more than the upgrades... the 13 took the same price bump as the 12 did over the 11.... the 12 was a complete refesh of the platform... the 13 is building on that new refresh....so i think its the yen along with some global factors... i was telling everyone on NAGTROC that the cars in other markets are about 84K pounds in the UK and over 9.5 million in japan... thats 125-130K USD...so there are alot of things going on there and the result is pretty much a 100K GTR base model after taxes in most states... |

For 70-90K, this car makes sense, talking about interior, performance etc, the whole package. For 100K+, for a slightly faster but otherwise same car really, it starts to become a stretch imo. 100K is a big psychological barrier as well imo. It's no longer a "budget/everyman's" supercar anymore at this point, and they heavily advertised it as such when it came out. They are pricing themselves into a smaller group of potential buyers, the kind of buyers that, a lot of the time, will shy away from owning a "nissan" regardless of how awesome the performance is. |
completely agree phil. why not buy an 09 or 10 slightly used and put 10k in mods on it instead and have a faster car?

whatever it is its about over 16K more than what i paid for mine.. i was just telling the guys.... i have no shame in saying it would be hard for me to comfortably afford a 105K black edition (thats im fairly sure without the 1K destination not to mention sales tax).... and just think about the lightly used 12's vs a new 13 for example what our mutual friend just picked up... thats A LOT of money |

We're thinking 09-11 for around 60Kish in the next few years and just mod it with about 10-15K of stuff and make it an animal. |

Yeah if I get one it will probably have to be used. The price of these new ones just keep going higher and higher.
|
it keeps the bottom from dropping out of the used market though... if the price would have stayed the same the last 4 years you could get a high mileage 09 for what a 370z costs now
