Most of the 370s I see around here are driven by women or old guys. Either they are too oblivious to care or are to sensible to street race.

9.1 vs 9.7? Surely that's not a 1/4-mile, or those are both modded.

And lol it's a C6 vert.

And it was a street racing vid. Vette probably didn't know they were racing.

That's the 1/8 mile. Now that I think about it that's really crappy, because bone stock I was running like 8.4 in the 1/8 :icon17:

Bottom line is the cars are close enough for it to be a driver's race. Mustang can have a gearing advantage which would help in 0-xxx runs.

I know, I was trolololing you.

It's an impressive vid. I didn't think they were that close.

Where you at the meet that time that dbag in the C5 Vette was messing with you guys, starting at the rear of the convoy and working his way to the front?

Well I was at the front of the convoy, and I was mad that he was messing with my ducklings.

Just read almost all the post since I made my post and I keep hearing about how smooth the 5.0 is to redline and how the Z is not, and most of these comments come from Red_Zed. Maybe you were driving your Z with two missing spark plugs or bad motor mounts but my Z is glassy smooth from idle to redline. My shifts are smooth as butter despite what you say (maybe you cant drive?)

Sorry but I will have to echo Red_Zed's statement too. I love my Z, but anything past 6k rpm even with my Invidia's is somewhat coarse and shrieking. I know what "smooth" means, and that part about our Z's is not a good thing. I haven't pushed a 5.0 to redline yet, so I can't speak for its smoothness, but I do know our Z's are not that smooth. Heck, my Odyssey minivan is smoother...lol. You might think it's smooth, but at least be open that other cars "might" be smoother.

ahahahaha, no I missed that one!

I remember a meet where an M3 was revving on us on our way to a restaurant (I think it was Todai).

It's a pretty common complaint.

Go find another thread to troll.

The Z might not be "smooth" to red line, but boy is she fun to push to red line. :icon17:

9.7 is probably a low 14.
