Ford Focus RS Tops Nissan GT-R In "Real World" Test
 

Autocar pits the beloved Ford Focus RS against the ferocious Nissan GT-R on real world roads, where the RS would actually have a chance against Godzilla. The result? They'd rather have the RS.

The Focus RS is no match for the GT-R on The 'Ring, where the massive power and sophisticated AWD setup gives the Nissan a clear advantage over the FWD, 300 HP Ford. Take the two out to some wonderful back roads in the English countryside and it's a slightly different story. Whereas the GT-R is all about the controlled distribution of force, the Focus RS is all about confident fun. As a real world daily driver on narrow roads with steep drop-offs and few long straights, the Focus RS wins out in terms of experience.

What a retarded article. I don't care what the experience is, I'll take the GTR over the Focus RS anyday. Whether if it's grocery shopping or tackling some twisties.

Are they serious? Did they seriously just do a comparison drive on video and write an article like that? Is anyone who sees that video going to leave the computer and go "Damn! The Focus is THEE car to get!"? What kind of twilight zone is this!? How do I get out!? Did I have one too many shots last night? Was that cigarette in fact laced with crack? What's next, a pair of running shoes compared to some bunny slippers when walking down the carpeted hallway to take a piss? WTF!?

That video was a joke. Obviously the video was staged so it looked like the focus was dead on gt-r's tail, in the real world the gt-r would have went around those roads much faster and more "fun" than the focus. The producers obviously drivers a focus rs :driving:

lol..............this reminds me of a funny story.
my mechanic needed a parts delivery car, so he bought a Focus wagon.

then a recall is made about the door handles breaking.
so he goes to the dealership, shows the letter he got, then they said which door you want to fix, he said i got 4 doors, do all of them, Ford guy says, the recall is for any one door.

got so pissed off, just left..........hahahahahahahahahaha

nissan > ford anyday. not saying that ford sucks or anything, but i'd pick a nissan over a ford any day.
