^^ yah, i like the simplicity.
|
Tint is coming up next weekend. Still debating on what % to do. Thinking 30 all around.
|
30% is classy. I have 35% on my sides and my windshield done 30%. It makes the sides look a little bit darker. But it is illegal.
|
Today I will be getting 20% all around. Stay tuned for pictures.
|
This is a interesting build you got going. I will be following it . I have to disagree about you not upgrading its stance/performance though. Knowing your taking this car to have it look and feel like a Z,why not eventually consider it after you choose your wheel combo. There is some serious gap to fill and I'm sure that car has understeer when pushed. Ed driving will become practical at the end of the day. Just my :twocents:
|
I will keep that in mind antfd3s. There is a first for everything such as this is my first new car and first time every getting tint on that was not already on when I bought the car.
Still debating on those wheels are the are much larger than stock. I bet a eibach suspension would help the oversteer but so would better tires. |
I can not say enough about the quality of work Dave does at eliteglasstinting.net
What can I say, Dave did tint on my 2011 Nissan Altima coupe in 20% and it looks great. I watched the overall process and was very impressed with his knowledge and quality of work. Dave has been doing tint for over 15 years. One thing he does that others probably do not is use vinyl around the dot matrix in the rear window. He also does 3M body protection and provides other services. Considering he has been doing this for so long, I guarantee his work has a lifetime guarantee. While I was there my father had tint installed on his ford ranger. I will be referring everyone on my forums about his work. Highly recommended http://i483.photobucket.com/albums/r...3-24134814.jpg http://i483.photobucket.com/albums/r...3-24142634.jpg http://i483.photobucket.com/albums/r...3-24142015.jpg http://i483.photobucket.com/albums/r...3-24140828.jpg http://i483.photobucket.com/albums/r...3-24142948.jpg http://i483.photobucket.com/albums/r...3-24152157.jpg http://i483.photobucket.com/albums/r...3-24152727.jpg |

thats 20% thought 20s would look a lil bit darker. looks clean though, tint guy knew what he was doing.
|
Love the car. I have been debating about getting a 3.5. Personally, with the color of the car, I would not go with black rims. It doesn't look as nice to me. Maybe my opinion would be different with matte black though.

In for pics when you have them! |
agree, 19's dont look right on the altima coupe. and personally im not a fan of that particular wheel. plus im one of the few people that doesnt care much for black rims on a black car, and it looks kinda funny with the crimson. just me though. i would do chrome with a color like that, it would really look nice. hey matt, what did you drive before the altima? and did you get a 2.5 or a 3.5? just wondering
edit: just saw the 2.5 get shaved earlier in the thread. |
that was in response to the question about the volk g7's. i guess im like a month late lol
|
Not really, and I think I am going with these instead.

Well it's been a little while and even despite the job loss I am still working away.
Yesterday my KnuKonceptz RCA's and 0 gauge wire came in. The fuse holder should be in today. I did mount my tweeters in the stock location for the meantime as I do not know what I'll get my mids to start fiberglassing the a pillars. http://i483.photobucket.com/albums/r...101_151202.jpg http://i483.photobucket.com/albums/r...101_151207.jpg http://i483.photobucket.com/albums/r...207_214217.jpg http://i483.photobucket.com/albums/r...208_082408.jpg http://i483.photobucket.com/albums/r...208_082129.jpg I will be running a JBL MS8 until I can afford my mosconi processor as well as my amps. Fiberglass coming soon of the sub box. |

Since you're an audio guy, I thought I'd ask...what's the best tuner that has an iPod dock. So far im Not a huge fan of BT. Have several Bose BT devices and they cut out a lot.

Debating on if I want to lower her or not when I get my wheels in a few months.
|
if your offsets are more than 10mm from your stock wheels and a wider barrel, then you will probably want to lower it to prevent the 4x4 look. :)

How hard is it to lower the car? I know you need to remove the shock assembly compress the shock and install the new one.

If you wanna maintain good performance 18x8 rims are best for the altima. Do not exceed 18x8.5 unless you like tire protrusion. And your drop would be ideal @ 1.2". Again, all suggestions. GL. :) |
