Nice, no removal of the Nissan emblem? What about the front?

I'll probably keep those, in the rear the new exhaust will help balance out the car in place of the emblems. The front looks good to me, just need fog lights.

Thanks man, its crimson black or you all know it as black cherry. So there is some perl there. I do have to work on the area as I got a little aggressive with the swirl and haze remover but that will be this weekend.
Another pic this morning

^^ yah, i like the simplicity.

bigaudiofanat 03-02-2012 04:54 PM

Tint is coming up next weekend. Still debating on what % to do. Thinking 30 all around.

nmjaxx9 03-02-2012 07:30 PM

30% is classy. I have 35% on my sides and my windshield done 30%. It makes the sides look a little bit darker. But it is illegal.

bigaudiofanat 03-24-2012 08:01 AM

Today I will be getting 20% all around. Stay tuned for pictures.

antfd3s 03-24-2012 09:57 AM

This is a interesting build you got going. I will be following it . I have to disagree about you not upgrading its stance/performance though. Knowing your taking this car to have it look and feel like a Z,why not eventually consider it after you choose your wheel combo. There is some serious gap to fill and I'm sure that car has understeer when pushed. Ed driving will become practical at the end of the day. Just my :twocents:

bigaudiofanat 03-24-2012 10:29 AM

I will keep that in mind antfd3s. There is a first for everything such as this is my first new car and first time every getting tint on that was not already on when I bought the car.

Still debating on those wheels are the are much larger than stock. I bet a eibach suspension would help the oversteer but so would better tires.

bigaudiofanat 03-24-2012 05:05 PM

I can not say enough about the quality of work Dave does at eliteglasstinting.net

What can I say, Dave did tint on my 2011 Nissan Altima coupe in 20% and it looks great. I watched the overall process and was very impressed with his knowledge and quality of work. Dave has been doing tint for over 15 years. One thing he does that others probably do not is use vinyl around the dot matrix in the rear window. He also does 3M body protection and provides other services. Considering he has been doing this for so long, I guarantee his work has a lifetime guarantee. While I was there my father had tint installed on his ford ranger. I will be referring everyone on my forums about his work.

Highly recommended

Love the car. I have been debating about getting a 3.5. Personally, with the color of the car, I would not go with black rims. It doesn't look as nice to me. Maybe my opinion would be different with matte black though.

agree, 19's dont look right on the altima coupe. and personally im not a fan of that particular wheel. plus im one of the few people that doesnt care much for black rims on a black car, and it looks kinda funny with the crimson. just me though. i would do chrome with a color like that, it would really look nice. hey matt, what did you drive before the altima? and did you get a 2.5 or a 3.5? just wondering

edit: just saw the 2.5 get shaved earlier in the thread.

Pauly 04-11-2012 11:37 AM

that was in response to the question about the volk g7's. i guess im like a month late lol

bigaudiofanat 06-11-2012 10:43 AM

Not really, and I think I am going with these instead.

Well it's been a little while and even despite the job loss I am still working away.

Yesterday my KnuKonceptz RCA's and 0 gauge wire came in. The fuse holder should be in today. I did mount my tweeters in the stock location for the meantime as I do not know what I'll get my mids to start fiberglassing the a pillars.

Since you're an audio guy, I thought I'd ask...what's the best tuner that has an iPod dock. So far im Not a huge fan of BT. Have several Bose BT devices and they cut out a lot.

Sorry I just saw this. The two best ipod interfaces would be from kenwood or alpine. Either one will you give you a heavy integration with an ipod.

Debating on if I want to lower her or not when I get my wheels in a few months.

kenchan 04-25-2013 11:40 AM

if your offsets are more than 10mm from your stock wheels and a wider barrel, then you will probably want to lower it to prevent the 4x4 look. :)

Definitely lower it man. :tiphat:

bigaudiofanat 05-02-2013 07:44 PM

How hard is it to lower the car? I know you need to remove the shock assembly compress the shock and install the new one.

Nismo? Rays?

Photoshop would be a plus!

I know this is not the "it" brand. But enkei fits perfect and if you do a search, you can find some nice ones if you do some digging. There's a wide cariety of them and can be had for about $1200-1500 a set vs $2800 for volks. Rays are pricey for an FWD ride that is a chillin car. Is it a chillin car? Its just a suggestion though.

If you wanna maintain good performance 18x8 rims are best for the altima. Do not exceed 18x8.5 unless you like tire protrusion. And your drop would be ideal @ 1.2". Again, all suggestions. GL. :)
