My Genesis Coupe

I've been on the370z for a little while do to my interest in the car, as well as I am friends with many Z owners/members. I figured I'd post up some pictures of my Genesis Coupe, so here are a few:

And no, I do not believe my GC compares to a 370z in any way (I have no clue why people compare them lol)

Looks good man. 3.8 or 2.0t?

Always enjoy seeing it every so often in the Central deck. I'm actually park sort of near you today haha

Edit: Nevermind, forgot it's an R-spec

dAvenue 03-16-2011 12:37 PM

Good looking car.

Lug 03-16-2011 12:48 PM

I have to say, the Gcoupe's looks have grown on me the more I see them.

Cmike2780 03-16-2011 12:57 PM

Looks good. You got any interior pics?

cow 03-16-2011 01:00 PM

Looks nice. Some new wheels would set it off.

dad 03-16-2011 01:08 PM

Very nice looking!

There are 2.0T and 3.8 r-specs, but mine is. 2.0T. Hahah I always park on floors 6-8 end spot ftw :)

I'll get some interior shots soon.

And thanks for the complements, wheels will come asap.

sTeadFasT96 03-16-2011 02:47 PM

What kind of wheels are you planning on? Or are you trying to be http://smiliesftw.com/x/gangster.gif about it?

cfweber 03-16-2011 05:08 PM

nice car, nicer neighborhood

check out the house in the background

how's the Genesis? handle good?

quick?

Scott @ RA 03-16-2011 05:21 PM

Car looks good and glad to see you on these forums over here. ;)

dang370z 03-16-2011 05:43 PM

Many reason people compare the two is because they are in the same price range ( GC 3.8 ) is a bit higher. both v6, horsepower is close *the new 3.8 is now 333hp so its actually higher* and are both sports car.

Your car is beautiful and yea :iagree: that you do need some wheels.

Skorch 03-16-2011 05:54 PM

Love the looks of the Gen Coupe. I almost bought one instead of my Z when I was shopping around for a new car.. The synchro rev match tranny is what won me over mostly.

I am thinking about Varrstoen 1.1.2. 19x10.5 +12 and 19x9.5 +22

That is the country club that I belong to, I wish it was my house lol. And the car handels great from the factory, but even better with nice tires and BC Racing coilovers! An not that its tuned it is quick enough to have fun, but definitely not fast.

Thank you all for the compliments. If anything ever happens to the Genesis, I'll probably end up with a 370.

nice ride man!

Waiz 03-17-2011 12:37 AM

Nice ride, I'm starting to see a few more of these in my area. I have yet to see one modded.

Thank you, and there aren't many modified ones in my area either. There are some out there making 400+ whp on the 2.0T, and a hand full of ones making 5-600whp. My end goal with this car is 375-425whp.

JollyGoodChap 03-18-2011 12:58 PM

I've always liked this car. Lots of potential and you can go pretty aggressive with wheel fitment.

AlphaSnacks 03-18-2011 02:03 PM

Nice whip!

That's for the 2012 car, though. Only the sedan has the new 3.8L DI motor right now.

ProfessorDave 03-18-2011 07:33 PM

Nice!

daisuke149 03-20-2011 12:07 AM

Thank you. +12 is pretty agressive for the Genesis, as most do +22, but you gotta pay to play and +12 looks awesome on this car haha.

Thank you, and the 2012 coupe refresh should be getting a 340-50hp DI 3.8.

Thank you Dai. I need to detail my own car sometime haha. And the exhaust is a bit quieter than the last set up, but it's a nice change. Now I just have to get the fitment issues settled.

Jordo! 03-21-2011 04:29 PM

Purty.

What's the 2.0T put down stock?

Hatch or trunk? Thought the former, but looks like the latter?

Thank you.

Stock I put down 187whp and 213wtq on a DynoJet. And it has trunk, no hatch.

Z1804 03-21-2011 04:37 PM

Alex thanks for detailing the Maxima on Saturday dude. It looks great. I'll get in touch with you about the Z. I may also want you to do my 65 impala. I may drive it around this summer a bit.

GZ3 03-21-2011 04:38 PM

looks really good, saw a white one the other day that was pretty HOT...zooomed by me

b1adesofcha0s 03-21-2011 08:34 PM

Looks good man

I saw a modded one today. It was black and had a body kit. The front looked really mean with the body kit and it was debadged + had a different grill. Only saw it for like 2 seconds but it looked really good.

Cmike2780 03-21-2011 09:56 PM

I like the car overall, but something about the nose of the gen coupe always bothered me. I think the grille should be a little higher up. It kind of looks like someone sat on it. I dunno, maybe it's just me.

90 ST 03-21-2011 10:01 PM

the GC was my other choice, but after having 2 Tibs in the past i needed a change, but they do look GOOD!

How much is the stock turbo/engine/internals good for? That is some sick torque! How solid is the rest of the driveline?

Gunzero 03-21-2011 11:29 PM

I like this car :)
both trims and the future v8 model ;)

I love them in white. I wish I wasn't lazy when I picked mine up, I should of made the drive to Alabama for a white one.

A new grill makes a world of a difference for the car, I need one haha.

I agree, I own it and don't like the front end too much. lol but I do love the rear end and sides of the car...

Understood, the Z is a better car anyway ;)

The stock turbo is maxed out at about 260whp & 300whp with a 19t swap. Small *** turbo FTL. I will be fixing this problem with a 20G asap. As far as internals go, people are running 380-450whp on stock internals on low boost (17-19psi). The rest of the driveline is pretty solid, one 2.0T is making 640whp on the stock rear end and drive shaft.

If a V8 coupe comes out, I will be trading mine in lol. 420+ hp V8 sounds like fun to me.

Hyperknight 03-22-2011 04:49 PM

Nice car man! I can't wait to see the updated version reveal in a few weeks.

MyZ4U2C 03-29-2011 05:27 PM

I have also been pondering the Genesis when shopping, pretty nice car..but I think im sticking with buying a Z
