There's a movement afoot here in Canada along those same lines. It has been gaining momentum for about a year now. Ever since a couple of high-visability media stories about 4 fatalities. (Some were from street racing and others from right side visability issues causing accidents.)

Provincial and Federal governments are threatening legislation to ban their importation.

I understand the reasoning behind not letting a car be imported.... safety, emission, and what not, but this is getting retarded... How different are they structually.... really?

The whole point here is that I am paying for some government thug to steal someone's car.
