Exactly why you don't get a customized plate that references the specific car its on.

I don't understand why people gravitate towards that when they're thinking up a customized plate. Its not interesting, and we can all see what kind of car it is...

Who cares? He can get a new plate any time he chooses to apply for it and shell out the cash.
