530hp/451tq, looks like they made some ECU adjustments along with increasing the boost slightly. I need some turbos :driving:

the 2009 US GTR was 480hp/ the 2008 JDM GTR was 480ps
the 2010 US GTR was 485hp/ the 2009 JDM GTR was 485ps / 478bhp in the UK

2011 US GTR 485hp/ 2010 JDM 485ps / UK 478bhp

that is how it has been ever since the car launched not sure why they would change this now

weird, but kind of stupid. PS is a unit of measure, why even bother listing it in PS if its not PS. meh.

:dunno: but thats the way its been done on that car... but here is one reason.. every engine is hand built and is supposed to vary up to 2% in output so saying a GTR has 480 or 485 is just marketing to begin with

you should see some of the early dynos of the first 2009's they were all over the place compared to GTR built just a few months later... somewhere between 10 and 20hp more on the same dyno...

but who knows maybe it will change when the US specs are announced nov 17th... just saying if it goes by what it has been in previous years it will be the same HP as PS for one reason or another

More goodies. Top Gear link :)

"After its unannounced Paris motor show tease, Nissan has confirmed its freshly squeezed hulking behemoth now packs a terrifying 525bhp (up from 476bhp) and 451lb ft of torque."

"That's not all though, friends of GT-R. The SpecV GT-R gets an overboost function with improved torque over the 'standard' model (466lb ft between 3,200 and 6,000rpm), different rear brake pads and a modified traction control setting, while two new special editions have been launched: the GT-R 'Club Track' edition and 'Egoist'.

The Track spec GT-R is a, erm, track-special GT-R built for racers, while the Egoist is one for the poseurs, with a dizzying combination of body, paint and interior customisation options to help make the GT-R slightly prettier. Rather like putting lipstick on a Bull Mastiff. Unadvisable and disturbing..."

they arnt really comparable as the club track edition is basically a weekend track car and is only offered in japan to members of a special GTR owners club

Japan known as The Prestige Club of GT-R. Launching at a inc-tax price of 10,479,000 yen, the Club Track Edition will also require a membership to the aforementioned club, which also comes with its own entrance fee. 2 million yen gets you entry, a assigned car number, two official track meets per year and entry into the annual get-together. The annual renewal fee for your membership is 1 million yen.

PS is the same unit of measure as US HP. The difference comes in how things are tested, SAE testing is different than JDM testing.

UK hp is different because UK hp is a slightly different scale to US hp, about 1.01:1.

I am pretty sure those are the specs for the 2012 model. Anyway my GTR has more power to the wheels then that lol. Just wish Nissan wasnt so shady about the warranty on the GTR.
