/\ did they really need to tape over the led's in that vid?? :)

MC--my new prediction for $$ based on the UK bump is now $95K for the US. I don't think nissan is willing to let the GTR drift over $100K here...yet...

HKYStormFront 10-14-2010 07:11 PM

that's a significant price hike over where the '09 GTR's came in at, especially the pre-orders for essentially the same car, just tweaked. still, the blue looks so amazing it might make up for it.

That blue gets better every time I look at it, I think Matt should get it instead of another black one...

I suspect Nissan purposely undervalued the GTR when they brought it here to the states since it didn't have the "street cred", for lack of a better phrase, to get people to take a Nissan seriously that was priced at 6 figures, even though it delivers performance to warrant it. The R36 will be a $100+K car I bet. Nissan has established the GTR's credentials here now and they'll be able to get away with a $110K price tag assuming the R36 is even more awesome than the jump from the CDA to DBA R35. At 110K or so, it'd still be a steal for what you're getting.

the LED's are just taped up yes...

as for the price bump... UK gets 10K bump... 60 GBP to 70 GBP... japanese only gets $2K bump ( but the way the yen coverts they are already at 110USD)

so yeah i think best case 89K then up to mid 90's like you predict... we should know in about 4 days

If it's a realistically low-mid 90's car, are you still gonna make the jump or just wait it out for the R36?

PS--get the blue if you do get one. :happydance:

awesome man, that's great news. I'm glad you'll be picking one up. Juno and I are thinking just another Z in a few years and then in the next house pick up a GTR (R36 or R37) as well and keep one of the Z's as a track whore.

Oh Patrick, I'm loving the Xterra man. Can't wait to put a PRG lift on it and some 33's once the stockers wear out. :happydance:

HKYStormFront 10-15-2010 06:55 AM

nice phil! glad ya'll like it. PRG's probably the most legit company out there for D40 suspensions. since ya'll aren't planning on off-roading a lot, the spacers will probably work fine for much cheaper, but the ICON coilovers he sells are the good stuff too. if you go that route, get the 600 lb springs....trust me.

nick's '10 X has that setup:

Yeah, I'm probably going to go with the spacers and shackle lift for the rear. Since it has the bilstein off road shocks already, it should ride okay. Might upgrade to the Icon's later on.
