Cool video. So the Bmw has 300 HP with 3390 lbs. Can you imagine 332 HP with 3200 lbs car? 370z =:driving:

onethreefive 11-15-2008 12:37 AM

The 370z should def have a better time than the 135, the suspension on the bmw is a little bit on the soft side.

Not everything in a car is the amount of HP and how light it is. The driver, wheels, torque, handling, etc, etc counts also. I am impressed with those results. That 135 is a MONSTER. M3 performance at 1/2 the price.........I think it beat the STI, Elise, S2000, etc etc........ Wasn't the S2000 and elise your favorite cars??, Please add the 135 to your personal list. I am curious to wait for the 370z OVERALL performance, not just numbers......

Plus if we look for under 40K performance we are left with the lancer and the 135. Personally I will choose the 135 anyday

Agreed. Good post, Alef. I def agree with you on that line. It is a freakin' beast. You should check out this thread: 425 fl/lbs of torque???? Can you imagine things you can do with 425 ft/lbs of torque? :stirthepot::driving:

Why isn't the 350z there?
Is it because it starts off at 28k?

onethreefive 11-16-2008 04:44 PM

Not sure why C&D didn't test the 2008 350z this year. Back in '06 they did though.

LL1: Nissan 350Z Track

The Lightning Lap, 2006

In the LL1 class, only the Nissan 350Z could beat that time, with a best lap of 3:12.5. The 350Z was as gutsy as the Evo, and its thrust was of the naturally aspirated variety with, naturally, no turbo lag. That made it possible to feed in power much more precisely — and earlier — when exiting corners. The Z-car's handling was not quite as buttoned down as the Evo's, and the Nissan demanded a more precise driving style. But its smooth power delivery worked well with fine handling balance to allow genuine power oversteer when necessary to tighten the car's line. Long live the king of LL1!

So basically the decision is made between the Evo, the 135 and the new 370z, but if you need the extra 2 seats in the back your decision is made after this video please enjoy............
