He chastises the previous record holder for going around in a big circle, but then he does the exact same thing.
Either way it looked cool. I would've liked to see what the tires looked like after all that. |
I love Mustangs.
|
Pretty cool but I agree that it is a lame way to measure the longest drift.
I would not have cut away on some of the transitions either since it lessens the validation of authenticity. |
Imagine that - 300+ HP with skinny *** crappy tires tends to lead to traction loss.
Never mind that drifting is quite possibly the lamest "sport" ever...its as bad as Hot Import Nights with Nopi. Maybe I should change my board name to Negative Nancy. |
“When you throw cars at walls at 90 mph they don’t always go the way we want them to,” said Vaughn Gittin, Jr. after hitting the wall at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in his 2010 Ford Mustang. more on Formula Drift 2010 Falken Ford Mustang Wrecked and Repaired at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Wow, they finally found something useful for that chassis.
|
i like the color on the abomination above!
|
Yep, that is pretty much all those are good for! Fun, but not exactly something they should be proud of. Then again probably more interesting than the longest finger nails in the world.
|
Im disapointed, i thought they would go like 140mph and then go into a drift from there and slide until they couldnt slide anymore.
a circle is kinda dumb. |
I like in the preview before he drifts it shows him acting like a dumb douchbag right next to the interstate.."Hi there, heres a disclaimer saying dont respect me." He just seems like an ordinary red neck mustang owner now, that can drive.

Here is something related and neat I'll hunt for pics they have shown the car before. I am in love!
http://forums.themustangsource.com/g...hngittinjr.jpg World championship drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. has introduced a new generation of Mustang to the world with the Mustang RTR. The extremely limited-production Mustang RTR-C puts still more muscle behind the already incredible 2010 Ford Mustang GT. Balancing 550 tire-shredding American horsepower with new-generation design influences, Vaughn has incorporated state-of-the-art technology with first-rate carbon fiber body construction to make the Mustang RTR-C one incredible-looking, raw performance machine. |

http://www.stangtv.com/photos/data/500/IMG_0880.JPG http://www.stangtv.com/photos/data/500/IMG_0878.jpg The front end is perfect the wheels and stance are perfect, I even dig the graphics. However that wing on the back would be ripped off and left on the show room floor! there are much nicer spoilers out there that fit the form of this car. I want to try those wheels on my mustang what do yall think? |

CR magazine picked it as the best Sports car in their class, last April (the Auto Issue of CR). I know, I know, it's debatable. I'm just sharing the info'. If I got me a Z, it's 'cause I prefer her; although, they're two different categories altogether.
|
Wow That looks very nice, great find Red!
I really like that performance bump the RTR got and looks fantastic. Idk about the rear end but the front looks amazing! |
The previous record holder did actual "donuts." As in with the front wheels remaining basically stationary... At least this is better than that.
|
If, and only IF, I ever get me a U.S.-make Sports car, it would definitely be a Mustang. The Camaro already had a recall for some electrical system part---can't remember what it is. BTW!, I saw the new Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione...Just $230,000!!! A s-w-e-e-t but way-too-expensive Sports ride! It's possibly THE most beautiful Sports car I've seen.
