What's your favorite color for Lotus?
 

I am considering picking up an Elise or Elise SC next spring, but I cannot figure out which color to go with. I want the opinion of people not already part of the Lotus community.

Help me pick which of these colors you like best:

I like the grey one but that wasn't an option so I voted for Aspen White.

I should mention that those 6 are the only ones I really like. So it's gotta be from that list.

I'd get the "loudest" possible color there is, probably that green. I just think a car like that screams to stand out as much as possible, and you might as well get a color that accomplishes that.

I agree that it should be a bright vibrant color, however the green looks like someone with a urinary tract infecton pissed in a paint bucket. Personally I like the Laser Blue the best.

Both of them look pretty washed out. Maybe the yellow would be okay. Honestly I thought they offered better color choices than they apparently do.

I don't think there's a wrong answer, because the Elise is gorgeous anyway. But my favorite for this car has always been that bright orange.

I like the Laser Blue.

These are all good replies.
The green i really like but its more pastel in person.
Canyon red is my favorite but I'm not sure it works on this car.
Laser blue looks really Sharp, especially on the 2011 with the new front that i would get.

laser blue is VERY Monterey blue like. Looks really nice. However, I would drive this car with Ardent red.

What, no yellow?

No yellow. If I wanted that I'd pick up the used one at the dealership that's only $35k.

I'm not going to lie, I really like canyon red and isotope green. But the other colors are really nice. That liquid blue is so unique!

Now do i get the SC or a non-SC and go aftermarket? 220hp and a warranty or 280hp and none?

My vote is for the white although I'm more of an Exige fan.

Hmm... depends on if you can afford to fix it out of warranty if your aftermarket SC breaks something. :)

I voted laser blue, though if they still made orange I would have voted that probably.

Honestly, I hope they have that midnight dark blue still... I chose laser "pew pew pew" blue like everyone else but my third choice would be white or gunmetal all blacked out :)

Also, I say get the exige S with the SC'er. I know a few companies that replaced the sc'er with a turbo and were making over 400rwhp!!!! Talk about space ship!

Elise (with plenty of options) + Vision Function stage 1 supercharger + clutch upgrade = 280 WHP, $64k

Exige S240 = 180whp, $68k

From a 1.8L engine, I'm already uncomfortable with 280WHP. I can't imagine, or afford, 400! And when I consider this is my money I'm spending, I can't justify the extra bucks for the Exige. It's just too much money, and I won't be on a race track much. No point.

Definitely not, but that Toyota engine is extremely durable. People are running in the 300+whp range for years without problems. Still, it's a scary thought.
