nice! that was awesome

MC 08-05-2010 05:37 PM

wow thats a crazy low trap speed for a 10 sec car... i guess it has something to do with it being electric... just so quick off the line and that makes up for it or what?

It doesn't really make all that much power, which is reflected in the trap speed. However, because it delivers full torque at 0 RPM, there's just an incredible launch (wonder what the 60' was).

No trans either -- direct drive.

MC 08-05-2010 05:55 PM

maybe 1.4 ish?

wishihadnav 08-05-2010 06:08 PM

1200 ftw!!

Chriz 08-05-2010 10:33 PM

nice, whoo go datsun

Jeffblue 08-05-2010 11:01 PM

i wish they did it in a 240-280z instead of that model. I know they were trying to make a statement, but it would have been way cooler.

Pharmacist 08-05-2010 11:26 PM

wow, how fast off the line was that! what's the 0-60 time on it? trap speed and peak hp may not be much, but standing acceleration is phenomenal because electric engines have a totally flat torque curve. they make all their torque from 0rpm unlike internal combustion engines that have to build torque gradually as rotational speed increases.

wow amazing! Datsun POWER! but i'd still would like a GT-R :P

Waiz 08-06-2010 04:40 PM

That's retarded, it wasn't even close.

Electric power FTW
