Potential candidates to replace your Z34 in a few years?
My candidates so far are:
F30 M3 (450bhp inline TT V6) C7 Vette Cayman S Roush modded Stang Slightly used Carrera S Slightly used GT-R Any other suggestions? |
I'm thinking about the Cayman, I really love the look of it.
|
god, I hate so bad to admit this, but I may eventually move up to a supercharged 5.0 sometime in the future if Nissan doesnt step up their game with the next gen Z.

Another Zed
The FT-86, if Toyota offers it with a TRD option to get in the same power:weight ball park as a Z. After that... jeez, there's really nothing that interests me all that much... |

Might seriously consider an M3. My daily driver will be dead at that point, so I'll probably be seeking comfort, room, and drivability. For right now, my Z is a toy.
Btw, bill hicks avatar ftmfw, dude. |
The new Ford GT500 (550 hp all aluminum engine) at $48K or the standard vette. I assume anything else would be out of reach. The rumored new RX7 could surprise us or even the V8 Hyunai GC might be the go-to at that point. Things change so fast in the auto industry, you can't really guess a few years in advance. 6 months ago, the mustangs were the farthest thing from my mind, now they are banging on the top of the list.

Something like an M3 or CTS-V. Something nice and sporty
|
Depending on what they do with the next gen STi or Evo, that is always an option.
If they actually make another Z car, that too. |
I actually don't know.
next gen GT-R or Z I guess I am pretty sure I will never go german, cant stand BMW and audi. subaru and mitsubishi arent my thing toyota are hybrid faggots |
I'll be going Italian after this unless my wife is still around! :)

Ah realistically, I'll probably get me a nice sport sedan. Most likely a Beam'rrrrrrrrrrrr. I've wanted one for awhile.
|
Honestly I'm not sure. If they make another Z then I'll look into it but let's take a look at reality. In 1995 the Z at the time was a 300zx.. the twin turbo made what, 300hp roughly? Back in the day that was impressive and fast. The corvette in 1995 also made 300 horsepower with the LT1, correct?
Okay so pretty much 14 years later (2009 model year) the 370z comes out with 332 horses. It may seem impressive out of a 3.7L (in certainly is) but in respect to the LS1 camaros they are practically identical in straightline performance... Do you see where I'm heading here. 332 horses (flywheel) just doesn't cut it anymore. The m3 makes 400+, the Camaro SS, SRT8 Challenger, Mustang all make over 400 horses. Now do you understand? Yeah, the 370z lacks power so in the future I'm buying a faster car. Why downgrade? :happydance: |
|
^^^ Hmmm. That's a good idea actually. I could be happy with one of those :D
|
A brand new M3 or G37S would be my choice. At least the BMW comes with 3 yrs free maintenance I believe, the G37S will keep me in the Nissan family. :D
The other cars you are looking at are a garage queen and/or lot of money for service. |
The new Infi M's look quite nice also, though they seem a bit too refined.

haha, hopefully there are some good promotions in yalls futures because while it would be nice to go from a Z to a Ferrari, realistically speaking, by the time i finish paying on my Z, i wont be making a huge amount more... I have a feeling that my thirst for adrenaline and speed may die down a bit with age and i'll look for something more refined, possibly an Infiniti coupe or a 5 series.
