Im over here wanting it to be a bit more aggressive too. Whats crazy is its like $15-17k to get any more drop and to bring in a tad bit of negative camber. Suspension parts are nutty expensive for this damn car. |
Ill have more pics after a shoot but heres how 22x10 +15 on 265/35 and 22x11.5 +15 on 315/30 sit on the car. Im on rsr springs as well. I ordered a set of 7mm spacers for the front. Yeah, Im irritated that after all that money my specs were off by a little over .25" for the front...but Im being super picky at this point

Your ride and the mods you have done - while a pretty penny - haha - but man, those wheels, wrap - straight FIRE man - love the look of your ride. :)

I also got rid of the LC about 4 months ago. Had all the fun I could. It just didnt have that "get up and go" at 4450lbs and 400whp. Lexus tunes that thing to sip your tea when you floor it. Sadly no shops in the US had a reliable tune, turbo, or SC setup for the car either. Picked up a bright green Audi RS3 for a while. Its fun but definitely not a sedan guy, even if its tiny and under 3400lbs, give or take a little. |
few more pics from that original photo shoot for anyone interested

Right now Im driving a 24' RS3 and the SQ8 I got the wife. I miss it for sure but surprising as it sounds, I miss my Z even more. |
If you aren't settled on the RS3 might I suggest you test drive a Giulia Quadrifoglio. I traded in my daily (bmw 335) on a 2020 QV last weekend and am in love. It handles like a sports car, tracks exactly where you point it and just goes. Power is good at a bit over 500hp, definitely fast in both the straights and curves. Feels very light and nimble. Several drive modes, and the dynamic mode allows you to keep the suspension in soft setting so the wife/girlfriend doesn't complain, while the exhaust is open and the torque limiter is turned off and traction control limited. I haven't tried race mode yet, as that removes all TC i believe, and I was getting a bit sideways in dynamic before the TC kicked in and kept me from curbing my wheels.
I do get what you mean about the Z feeling faster at times, despite being down 150-200hp. It's more of an experience car, especially with the right mods. Loud, tourquey, very direct steering... gives it a bit more of that race car feel than these sports sedans have. If you really want to get luxurious sports car and keep it in the Audi family, I'll be selling my R8 next spring. 2012 Spyder, V10 with gated 6 speed manual, daytona gray, with just a touch over 50k miles. Spending the winter prepping her for sale then will list her in Feb/March for about $125k (+/- depending on market trends at that time). If interested you can see some pics or reach out on R8talk where my handle is G8TED V10, or on IG at g8td_v10 (I also am rarely on the forum any longer - only when old threads I'm subscribed to get revived). |
Do you have any pics of the RS3 and are you already modding it? Think you'd go back to getting another Z? I know right now - I'm still content with the Z and modding VERY SLOWLY - but if I were to get a daily - I think the Honda Civic Type R would be at the top of the list - good power and pretty solid out of the gate; although having a 2 seater for as long as I have - kinda hard to justify getting a 4 door for the sake of 'getting a 4 door' - if that makes sense and car prices at the moment are just stupid - seems like what most $40k cars were are now $55-60k.
Anyway - enough of my ramblings - the LC was definitely a beautiful car and the mods you added were NOICE to say the least so curious to see what you might have done with the RS3. |

Its a tough question to answer, in terms of modding the RS3 or getting into another car. I probably wont keep it for more than another 6 months. Its a fun little car, super quick, but I want to get back into an "exotic/ sporty" coupe. You still cant reliably tune the rs3 and I want a full exhaust, downpipe, and intake...I want it to be rowdy. There are a few in Germany with all of that and it sounds like a mini v10 R8, its quite surprising. Id love to get wheels but Im stumped since the fronts are wider and I wont be able to get any concavity out of them, which Im a big "lip and concavity" kinda guy. And it being a sedan, wheel style is a bit tough for me to figure out. All I know is, the 19-20" wheels I want, they cost between $8-10k, which is tough to pull the trigger on not knowing how long Ill keep the car at this point. That being said, I do have springs and spacers on it currently...nothing crazy. As for what I would get into, as much as I love the Z, I wouldnt get a new gen Z. If I were to go Nissan, Id probably just get a GTR. Right now Im considering a few cars. 18-19' NSX, 20-21' Aston Martin V8 Vantage, 18-21' gen2 R8, 21-22' Mercedes AMG GT-R. If things "financially" stay the way they are now, I might even dive into a Huracan or 488. Of course every option will be a used option...not new! https://i.imgur.com/lQJViGB.jpeg |
I completely missed this development....LC500 to RS3...both great machines, but....but....still computing this switch in my brain haha.
Your upcoming list of suitors make lots of sense though. Congrats. |

The RS3 looks great in that color. It really pops for sure. I completely get the idea of wanting to checkoff cars on the wish list. Its funny bc I think since we are all car enthusiasts - there is a wide range of cars that we are wanting to try and they sometimes don't fit when you consider what people normally feel should be cross-shopped. I know I would love to have a hatch and I constantly think about trading in or saving up for a Honda CTR - at the same time - would love to experience a GTR sooner rather than later and keep the Z as 'the daily' haha. Regardless - nice rides.
