2008 350z price

hi, I found a 2008 350z auto with 38,000 miles, 2 owner, no accidents, Fl car at the dealership while I was having my oil changed. Car had just been traded in. They wanted $15,500 for and I was able to get them down to $13,300 but not sure about the price? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Even the $13.3k seems very high to me especially since it's an automatic. What do the books say?

The books are all over the place. Low mileage pushes the price way up.

Kelley Blue Book has $10,100 listed.

KBB private party $12, 454 ($11,300-$13,500 range). The $10,100 is trade in value.

Is the low mileage driving your decision to want to purchase this car or do you prefer the 350 over the 370? Auto would be a no go for me - but that has really low miles. Keep us posted and if you get it - post some pics :)

Definitely a rare find with that low of mileage. Ask for any maintenance records they have? Don’t just look at what all the possible values are also search your area for what the 350Z’s are selling and price point it could be different. Do you just like the favor the 350Z? I would consider a 370Z as well. If you get this 350Z post some pics if you can.

I have a 2016 370z Touring auto I picked up for $20,000 with 19,000 miles on it 8 months ago. I was actually out looking for a truck or 2013 G37 with low miles and found the 370z. I love driving a stick and have always driven a stick, but the traffic here has become atrocious so I wanted try an automatic. Drove the 370z and loved it. I was actually looking for something for my son who's 18- I know bad choice and he actually prefers a stick also. So after I started learning about the Z's and G's, their platforms, aftermarket, rear wheel drive, and just how tight they are I was sold, hook, line, and sinker. Not to mention the Skylines and Sylvia's. Now back to the 350z, it has decent service records which show all work at the stealership. At 28,380 miles brakes and fluid, coolant flush, rear diff serviced, induction serviced, power steering flush, serpentine replaced, tranny fluid replaced and then just your normal oil changes. Battery at 21,561. Catalytic converter at 28,742 miles (which seems kind of odd). They did put it up in the air and the rear diff bushing facing toward the front of the car looked like it had at some point had a leak. After a closer look at the bushing, it looked ok but dry. Did'nt look new though either. I guess the only way to know is to drive the car and then inspect for leaks. They replaced the rear brakes, and the passenger window motor was "jerky" so they replaced that too. I asked about what the plan was for the diff bushing and I am still waiting to see if they are going to replace. They did say the engine and drive train are warrantied (included in price) so don't worry about that-yeah right. Put it in writing and I want all the rear diff bushings replaced if needed. I would love to find one cheaper, but honestly I have looked at so many ragged out 370's, 350's, and G's I was beginning to think the good ones are all gone or totaled. Still trying to decide.

Carfax rated it as $14,670. I don't get why they have a trade in value, private seller value, etc. It all seems like voodoo economics to me. Also, I have seen used cars prices skyrocket compared to 8-9 months ago.

$13k from the dealer is fair

Seems like a sorted car otherwise. 2007-2008 are basically bulletproof and the best years to buy.

Used car prices on JDM rear wheel drive cars are going up fast, especially if they are manual. I've been looking at them in general for the last year or so as my wife wanted a "fun" car of her own for when we go to car meets and such. For a while it was just it had to be 2 door and manual. Over time as she became more familiar with the car world her preferences became narrowed down. We had it focused to the 350z, 240/260/280z, or 280zx as she decided she wanted to stay in the Z family ( I already have a Z31 and 280z ). I couldn't believe how expensive these cars have gotten. 350z's over here were running 6-9k for 130k+ miles and rare to find. Most of the ones I found were in surrounding states. However automatics aren't too hard to find and typically high mileage but good condition was about avg 7k. So I guess a low mileage one like the one in question from a dealer is why the price is so high. I personally wouldn't do it for 13k but I also don't like automatics. If however it's exactly what you are looking for I would try to get them down to maybe 11-12k.

And for anyone who cares we found an all original 280zx manual 100% but neglected. After a full tune up, vac hose replacement, and other minor things the car runs like a champ and my wife is doing well learning how to drive a manual. However we paid 4 times the amount that I paid for my 280z back in the year 2000. And now early gen Z's are going for 10k+ in good condition. I've seen some really nice 240'z demanding 20k+. I think as car manufactures are moving toward automatic only for everything and electric or hybrid on the horizon, a lot of people are buying up older RWD sports cars while they still can
