Honda CR-Z

This is probably really old news, but since I don't pay attention to Honda, I LOLd when I saw they were updating the old CR-X.

"2011 Honda CR-Z

It's not often we get to cover a concept vehicle that actually makes it to market, but that's exactly the case with the 2011 Honda CR-Z ($TBA; Late Summer 2010). Based on the company's prior CR-Z concept, the production CR-Z is a sport hybrid coupe, combining a four-cylinder i-VTEC engine with a 10-kilowatt electric motor and 100-volt IMA nickel-metal hydride battery pack to offer 122 hp and fuel economy up to 38 mpg. Other features include a three-mode drive system that allows the driver to select between sport, normal, and economy driving styles as needed, a front MacPherson strut suspension, 16-inch aluminum wheels standard with 17-inchers as an option, a futuristic blue-themed instrument panel, and available HID headlights, a 360-Watt AM/FM/CD seven-speaker audio system, Bluetooth HandsFreeLink, and more."

I only wish this were an actual update of the old CRX. It is in fact a similar looking but highly bloated, heavy hybrid with only decent gas mileage. Weak attempt.

well, at least now there is a hybrid car that can be bought with a manual transmission.

the insight did have it but it was too small.

Doesn't look that bad!

VERY weak. I was interested in the beginning but a car with only 122 HP and a hybrid that'll get you 35ish MPG is not desirable(at least that's what some blogs reported). Heck, if I recall correctly, the N/A Honda Civic gets 38 MPG.

I like it but I hate hybrids poor things. When my honda civic can get 36 mpg with a bit of trying and my bike that does 54 mpg hbrids do not impress. Nor are they that good for the enviroment as how everything they use to build them gets shipped everywhere.

Yep, and I bet Toyota will get some sh*t for this but it will be better for them and maybe they will innovate some more.
