For the LFA fanboys

Watch Top Gear Season 14 Episode 7

:excited: enjoy!!!!

Edit: well at least they agree that at the end of the day it's still a 340,000 pound lexus, and yes they did say its not as fast as a 599. Beautiful car, retarded price

chrisdc 01-04-2010 01:07 PM

I agree, the price is retarded, but the exhaust sounds awesome!

SilverBullet 01-04-2010 01:09 PM

I like the car. The price tag is just ridiculous. The instrument cluster is sick.

CBRich 01-04-2010 01:33 PM

I have to agree about the instrument cluster. All one screen and the physical ring actually moves back and forth. Pretty amazing.

shabarivas 01-04-2010 01:36 PM

physical ring? its an LCD screen lol... they had to make it a LCD cus an analog needle couldnt keep up w/ how fast it gained and lost revs

There is a physical ring that floats above the screen providing definition between the tach and the lap timer (as an example).

CBRich 01-04-2010 01:52 PM

Yes, there was a post on the forums before linking to a video about the interior. The whole thing is an LCD screen except the ring that slides back and forth. It IS actually there. It is three dimensional. But thanks for laughing at me anyway, I appreciate it.

I'm in the most expensive LEXUS...!!!!

Richard Hammond = hilarious

:ugh: suuuuure

the cluster is nice, I like how they presented it with the whole comic/manga style very creative way of presenting a Japanese supercar. Now honda just needs to sell their HSV thingy as is (IMO) and mazda should offer the furai engine for a mythical RX-7 and we got the old japanese performance car group back

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rkj0-7lWPew sadly they didn't add the NSX since honda forgot to add stock turbos...lol j/k....but a TT NSX doesn't sound that bad eh :excited:

I think it would be great to see these four companies supercars battle it out.....but I'm dreaming.

Video on YouTube. I agree with Hammond 100%. If it was priced 100K or even as high as 140K, I can see them sell this. But almost 400K dollars, no thanks. As he also said at the of video, "End of the day, you're still driving a Lexus!"

theDreamer 01-05-2010 06:26 PM

I will take the GT-R, I think Toyota have done some great things with this car but are overshooting a few things.

NyCSnEaK 01-06-2010 08:09 AM

Their paddle-shifting system seems to have done its job well, since their were no complaints. But that is to be expected from Lexus/Toyota.

alvinmathew88 01-06-2010 09:24 AM

Umm do you mean the weighting of the Paddle shifters? Or do you mean the flappy-paddle gearbox? I remember reading in one of the magazines reviewing the car stating that the shifts even when set on sport mode, still took a while to shift on the streets, but when you the car under some track stress, it livens up and performs up to specs.
