Question for the mechanics here...

Would I be able to mate a RB26DETT to a BMW 7DCT?
I just fell into a project idea cuz I see available parts for purchase. Lol

I image it could be done. Would have to figure out an adapter plate, input shaft to clutch disc's to flywheel to crank. Then the electronics on the gearbox and motor. It would take time and a 5 gallon bucket of 10 dollar bills.

Great.... I was thinking about a 73 240z with a RB26DETT and dual clutch transmission on a throwback interior and a small steering wheel. Instead of buying one of the upcoming sports cars. I don't know? But seems like it'll make for a fun ride

You know of a great machinist and an electronics wizard?

I wouldn't want to be the first to attempt your project. As Rusty said, you'll probably need adapters to mate engine and transmission. Transmission mounts will probably have to be fabricated. May need a custom drive shaft. The electronics are liable to be a nightmare. Personally, I think Rusty's estimate of a 5-gallon bucket of $10 bills is on the light side.

Search the web to see if someone has attempted/done it before.
