Pathfinder transmission issues

Just checking to see if any forum members own a Pathfinder and have experienced these documented transmission issues.

I was looking to purchase a used one and have since changed my mind. I thought Japanese car manufacturers had better quality than this.

Mate - stay away from CVT - they are the devil's spawn.

My wife drove a Murano for 4 years ... perfect car .. and at 163,000kms the transmission failed catastrophically stranding her 80kms from home.

The initial quote to replace the transmission was $11.000. Fark !@!

Nissan came to the party with a 50% contribution to the cost of a replacement tranny and the dealer provided labour at 50% of cost as the car has a full dealer service history but that was it for me .............. but it was still a $5500 repair.

We sold the car and bought one with a regular auto trans ..........

Not a fan of CVT as a consequence

Thanks for the input. I will stay away from anything with CVT.
