I'm posting this review because his words are so refreshing. I feel a true enthusiast would have the same exact mindset. 2011 was a great year for BMW. You had the 1M, the 135is, 335is and the year they went from twin turbo to twin scroll single turbo. I hear stripped down bimmer and I think, reliability just improved by 30%.

135is is a hidden gem as well and I wouldn't mind finding one.

I thought they had lots of problems with the high pressure feel regulator/pump?

youd have to be a true BMW enthusiasts to drop the cash for one of those, thats for damn sure. I just checked prices on cars .com. Average around $65k for about 15-20k miles.

The 1series had great performance numbers, but those cars are hideous, they remind me of the 80's Toyota tercel from the rear.

A tuned 135is with a Dinan suspension n LSD would be a better buy.
