But pretty. Didn't matter as most of those cars were just hard parked anyway.
This one, I think we'll see on the race track. A local track addict has an order in for one - will compliment his track spec S2000 and 911 GT3RS. Looking forward to seeing how it does.

I would take one too. But not pay an extra 10k for it

Jsolo 06-22-2017 08:47 PM

Dealerships around here are having customers bid for them. No thanks. If I ever have the $$$, I'm getting a camaro zl1!

Z-Girl 12 06-22-2017 10:44 PM

Some dealerships imnediately put them on ebay. Going for 45k...that is just stupid.

Wazmo 06-26-2017 02:32 PM

I have seen one up close and personal. The seats should have been outsourced to Sparco or otherwise for a better design, they look like eBay specials. The trim around the vehicle looks good from standing above it, but up close you can see see seams in odd places. The exhaust also leaves room for so much more. All in all the car is cool, but clearly a play toy for someone. For a good amount less money I would just get the Si and have it done with. I realize they are different cars, but in everyday use the Si would work just fine.

At the price, I will still go with Nismo no question.

For looks, yes.
For the cockpit being a nice place to be, yes.
For practicality as a daily driver, hard to say.
For all out performance, not really.

That said, the Z is probably the better package.

They seem pretty evenly matched. Problem comes when the Type R gets a tune and more boost, good bye Z. :stirthepot:

More dickish dealer behavior....

http://jalopnik.com/honda-civic-type...car-1796535560

and they wonder why we hate them....

Jsolo 06-30-2017 11:37 AM

Wow... I read some of the comments too. All this for a honda.

This type of publicity not only hurts the dealership but also blemishes the brand. Honda NA should definitely get involved as this reflects poorly on them by proxy.

Jsolo 07-01-2017 11:00 AM

Looks like the jalopnik article was updated. Girl got her car. Still, the publicity isn't doing any favors to this dealership.

DCNISMO 07-01-2017 11:32 AM

Yes she got her car but only after people rightfully shamed the dealership on being dicks

Waiz 07-02-2017 03:48 PM

I have yet to see one in person but my good friend who works for a Honda dealer here in SoCal took a pic of one that came in as part of their allotment, it ended up selling for $54,000 :icon17:

I am really not feeling the wheels at all and since they are so large and intricate Honda is forcing any dealer which has an allotment to purchase a $10,000 mounting machine just to be able to service this car tire-wise

He also says he was not impressed with the fake carbon wrap on most of the of the car including the lower valences on the car as well as the interior

One thing that also was interesting is that the first 3,000 cars are all numbered with an interior plaque so this is also helping to drive up the demand for the initial launch cars and should be sliding down as the hype of the car subsides and the next wave of cars hit our shores without the plaques

I would be willing to bet the buyers of the CTR are not cross-shopping a Z at this point. Maybe down the road as the price drops and the car becomes more available but not now. They are also completely different cars so it's not really fair to compare

Z-Girl 12 07-02-2017 05:36 PM

My dealer just called me yesterday and said the 3rd buyer backed out and i was nbr 4. It was mettalic grey. Im holding out for white. Paying msrp...Wheels gotta go, i hate em and not feeling the fake carbon either. But other than that its cute. Will be a cute beater...better than my 14 Sentra i want to drive in a lake!!

And for that price is take a Nismo too...Check!
