Rebuilt Nissan GT-R R35

Hey guys,

I stumbled upon this crazy ad and it blew my head across the easter skies :D
The GT-R is my dream car and its mind boggling how I can finally afford to purchase one. Yes it is rebuilt, but with careful inspection and choosing the right vehicle, a rebuilt car can be a great vehicle. I can sell my 370 for about 15k and finance the other 10k to be able to live my dreams.
The problem is not purchasing the vehicle, its maintaining the vehicle afterwards. I heard regular fluid changes are need to be done periodically that can run hundreds of dollars for basic services. A tire change will cost upwards of 2k. If the transmission blows, thats another 10k out the door. Has anyone here had experience with an R35 or someone you may know that may have? What are your opinions?
Here is a link for a rebuilt car in my area ►2009 NISSAN GT-R Rebuilt $3168 DN/$112 WK BUY HERE PAY HERE

Look forward to hearing your replies ;)

It's easy. Are you willing and able maintain a $100k vehicle?

you should spend some time on GTRlife forum. Transmission failure, brake job, all fluid changes, these basic things cost heftier than equivalent on a Z.

I won't even get into the rebuilt title part.

Have you went to take a look at it yourself and test drive? You should be very cautious and see about having a professional look it over. You know the old saying "when it looks to good to be true, it probably is"

Ill never buy a rebuilt vehicle without checking every nut and bolt on the car. Test driving is a no brainer. The reason why its soo cheap is because the cars generally sell for cheap at insurance auctions as salvage rebuildable. Insurance companies often totals them because they dont want to go through the possible extensive repairs of a high end sports car. So sometimes a little finder bender gets salvaged. They generally sell for $15-20k. People then repair them for $5-10k and then make a couple grand off of them. But everyone has dreams, and this seems like its at my fingertips. I just dont want to get my fingers cut off when I try to grab it :wtf2:

Those early models of GTR have tranny issues, or so I read. I would be very careful on this one. A GTR tranny is like 15k. Take it to Nissan certified GTR mechanic for a comprehensive diagnostic.

Have you seen the car in person to know it's real? seems too cheap even with everything else.

Don't be a "baller on a budget".

I see many regrets occurring in the not so distant future. I wouldn't touch that car with a 75 foot pole.

:rofl2: I know what you mean. People dish out every penny to finance an expensive car then has to sell it because they cant keep up with the payments or maintenance. I've seen it happen.

It does come with 3 year warranty on all repairs. I'd want to see the complete list of repairs made.

That specific GT-R is sold. He has another silver one coming in 2 weeks or so. But I'll look into it and keep you guys up to date if I follow through.

Be glad that car is sold. With the R title. You would take a beating if you sold it.
