Anyone wanting that 2.0 turbo version gonna be waiting a little bit longer. Official cover story should come out shortly.

I don't know why anyone would want a 2.0T version of this car. I can't imagine the fuel economy would be far off from the 300hp version of the 3.0TT (or even the retiring 3.7L), and 200hp pushing a 3500lb car would just not be worth the fuel savings, even if they're huge.

Plus... it's a Merc motor. I would rather have the Nissan motor, or I would just buy a C class instead.

Also - I can't help but wonder when we'll see pricing on this Red Sport 400. I'm super curious.

This engine seems to push the C300 pretty aggressively @ 3600lbs.

I've said it before and I'll say it again and maybe it'll sink in somewhere. .. that "merc" engine is built right here in sister-******* tennessee right behind the plant that builds the Altima, Frontier, Titan, Maxima, and a few other engines.

Now can I confirm or deny the ************ is blowing up and Mercedes pulled the plug because we suck? No I will not.

But if it was, your Niscerdes engine is junk.

I didn't know the good ole' 3.5HR was going to be a hybrid...that could be mean with ALL of its available TQ at idle...hmmm

It's rated a chunk higher in power than what the Infiniti version was confirmed(?) to be putting down. However, now it seems all is up in the air. That's just what I remember seeing though.

This situation sounds inherently ugly.

It's been available in the Q50 since it came out in 2014. The year to get is a 2015 Hybrid Sport. That car is a BEAST. It honestly won't be too far behind the 3.0TT, if at all. I think that's part of the reason why the sport package is no longer available for the hybrid in 2016.

I said 18 months ago a hybrid might be available for the Z. Probably won't but the HR3.5? Why not the 3.7?

You know... I usually have a well thought out answer for questions like this... but I really don't have any idea why the 3.5HR made for a better hybrid motor than the 3.7. The only thing I could grasp at would be that they began R&D on a hybrid motor before the 3.7 even came to fruition.

Don't you find that...odd? That engine saw a 2008 G35 sedan as it "last" dance, REPLACED with the 3.7...wtf?
