400HP Buick Avista
I like this, I wonder what the price point will be.
http://www.buick.com/content/dam/Bui...38x528-022.jpg http://www.buick.com/content/dam/Bui...38x528-015.jpg The Avista is a 2+2 sports coupe running a twin-turbocharged V6 cranking out 400 horsepower through the rear wheels. Look familiar? It should, as it reprises many of the design cues from Buick's last show-stealer, the Avenir, which debuted a year ago in Detroit. "The Avista embodies the dynamic soul of Buick," said Duncan Aldred, vice president of global Buick sales, service, and marketing. "It is a modern expression of the brand's heritage of sophisticated performance, communicated with beautiful elegance." The front end features a prominent grille with Buick's newly colored tr-shield as the centerpiece. It's flanked by wings that stretch out horizontally and edgy headlights that portend the appearance of future Buicks. There's an aggressive fascia, chrome-trimmed vents, and it all rolls on 20-inch wheels. The Avista has a 110.7-inch wheelbase (which is the same as the Chevy Camaro), and the tracks measure 63 inches in front and 62.9 inches in back, which Buick says makes for a sporty stance. The B-pillarless cabin conjures the open layout of great boulevard cruisers of days gone by. It's done up in gray leather punctuated with carbon-fiber and aluminum accents. I really dig this car. especially since it's on the alpha platform which is already getting high praise under the new Camaro body.
throw in the 400hp V6TT that's just a nice bonus. hopefully this goes into production. |
Not too bad. I'll wait to see what the actual design turns out to be before making further judgement.

but I honestly would buy this unless they went all caddy on the pricing. fuckin cts-v bases at 84k now lol the ats-v is the equivalent and bases at 63k hopefully the buick would be more like high40s/low 50s. |
I doubt this would be much cheaper than the ATS-V

that's not bad considering it's good looking and powerful with a stable platform under it. the ATS-V is over priced and ugly. this would destroy it's sales so I doubt it'll get made. |
Very nice car
|
That's kinda hot!!!
|
the shape and stance reminds me of a aston martin.
I really hope they make this. |
yeah, that's pretty sweet.. too bad its only a concept, and most get left behind for a watered down POS version.
|
looks pretty good, just lose the buick emblem and it should be good to go.

Even as a concept it's not that far out there. It looks like something that could see production without having to change anything really. |
If It Wasn't A Buick....
Have you guys seen this ?
Buick Avista Concept Stuns Detroit With Gorgeous Design, 400-HP Engine Built on a Camaro chassis with a RWD, twin turbo 400 HP V6. The Japs and the Germans should immediately fire their styling designers and hire the guy or team that came up with this one. Proof positive that all new sport coupes don't have to have the stupid Transformers or cow catcher front ends with angular, fake scoops or intakes. Now of course if built by GM it will probably be recalled or suffer quality issues and I would be afraid to buy one, but this is the first thing out of Detroit in the last 40 years that has quickened my pulse. |
Absolutely gorgeous! But then again, it is a concept vehicle.

The interior dash and the rear looks too much like a tesla. The wheels looks like nismo shaped. The front is pretty plain looking, especially for a concept. I honestly dont see anything special, that's a Buick for sure

Me likes!!
|
Ibtm.
|
If this gets rebadged as the Buick Regal coupe/ Grand National.
People will start loving it. Perception is everything! S legendary name would fit this car. |
I'd buy this over a camaro or mustang
