I just built an M4 for $80,045. An M2 will be $70K similar equipped, no problem.

I highly doubt it. You simply won't be able to add the types of options that you can with the M3/M4 to tack an extra $20k onto the price.

hmmmm now seeing that it comes with a good bit of what I would add like CF interior pieces and black wheels, sports seats, etc...

personally i'd add the auto DCT, sun roof, heated seats/wheel, window sun glazing, and auto dimming mirrors. those are so nice to have with dbags around here who only know high beams lol.

not sure what comfort access provides.

also I love alpine white :yum:

Was trying to be funny, not combative and got a call in the middle of my meme post. This work thing is a kick in the teeth I tell ya. I just think its in C7 league and will be priced as such. Its a hunch.

I'd just like a real explanation as to why, not just a hunch, given we have some pretty solid information available to us right now to get a pretty close estimate to what a "well-equipped" M2 should cost. Namely the base price ($51k) and the options list.

Based on the options list, and using BMW's pricing with the M3/M4 options suite, we are likely looking at only $3-6k ($3,200 Executive Package, possibly the $1,700 driver assistance package) in options to consider the car "well-equipped," which tells us it will be under $60k easily.

What I am more interested in is what happens to the price of the M240 (now M235). If the M2 is starting at $51k and comes with the standard features listed in the two images above, then BMW must be planning to reduce the price of the rest of the 2 series line. They can certainly do it given the Euro weakness and dollar strength.

We'll see.
