Eagletime,

I glanced over your first post and I also noticed you're missing a price

Could you Please provide a price also?

Thanks

Nice looking Lotus btw

EagleTime 09-03-2012 10:57 PM

Price hmm.. My car has the touring package which means power windows, StarShield, leather seats. I purchased the hardtop too. If I sell the hardtop with the car thats $1400 extra. They are very hard to find, my top is actually Solar Yellow which is Saffron Yellow but with small flakes in the paint. Im seeing what offers I get and then I will go from there. Im not really putting a price on the car. If the offer is good enough than I will sell the car. If I don't find a buyer that will give what im looking for than I will keep the car and buy a 370z in the near future as my daily driver and yes in the winter too!

I also painted the trim center console, AC unit, and the cup holder all Saffron Yellow. I also upgraded to HID headlights. I just bought new rear tires over the summer which have 2,000 miles on them. The front tires have 9,000 on them and still look brand new. Lotus wears tires in the rear not the fronts because its a mid-engine car.

Thats NOT how it works HERE

If you can't come up with one You give us no choice but to close this ad.

ALL sellers will post a price of the product or service in which they are selling

Oh sorry.. I didn't know the rules. $100,000 THATS my price LOL.. K Now people can offer a REAL price!

Ni55anPat 09-03-2012 11:30 PM

Per Autotrader, I see 2005 models with about 10,000 miles going for about $30,000.

wstar 09-03-2012 11:42 PM

Well he said $35K first, then he edited it to $100K lol. (A ridiculous price awaiting a counter-offer isn't really in the spirit of listing a price, btw).

iceman21_23 09-03-2012 11:43 PM

in all honesty i dont think he really wants to sell it hence no real asking price.

his has 40k mi on it, so it's probably worth about 25k.

Yep, one thing bad about Lotus is that the depreciation is HUGE!

Redglare 09-07-2012 06:56 PM

Just looking on ebay/autotrader/cars you can easily find an 05 model <20k miles for 30k so his would be around 22-24k I'd say.

EagleTime 09-07-2012 08:19 PM

$31,999 or best offer is my real price. The car is in excellent condition, never been taken out in the rain or snow. I only take it out on sunny days. I detail the car after every drive yes.. even if its just to the gas station and back. The touring package with the leather seats, power windows, AC, star shield make the car worth every bit of $31,999. I also have the upgraded stage two exhaust installed which cost $1,200. The rear tires have 90% left on them. I had them put on the car over the summer. I have never pealed out in the car, nor tracked the car, nor taken a corner hard. The touring package also has the insulated soft top. Yes you can find some 05 Elise for 25,000 with 30,000 miles but Saffon Yellow with all of the options I have plus the touring rims which mine has is very hard to find. I am the second owner of the car and I talked to the first owner when I bought it from Lamborghini of Chicago. Thanks and goodluck...

David

EagleTime 09-07-2012 08:23 PM

FYI the price of the Elise is going up in value not down as one person on here said. I am only thinking about selling mine to have an every day sports car such as the 370z and drive it 24/7 rain or even snow.

^What was the point of buying this car then?

EagleTime 09-14-2012 01:17 PM

I owned the car for two years. Thats enough time to enjoy it.

:iagree:

My friend has a Lotus Exige w/ track package ... silly car to treat like a garage queen.

864Zbeast 09-14-2012 01:50 PM

I forgot the lotus was a lambo. Geez. The 370 is way nicer than any lotus I've seen...

wstar 09-14-2012 03:06 PM

The Elise/Exige are great cars actually. Absolute beasts on the little road courses I've run on. I've never chased one down, they're always passing me instead :)

Cmike2780 09-14-2012 03:35 PM

They're great cars...and since the engine is from a Camry, it's plenty reliable. It's a bit disappointing you didn't get around to really push the car though. It's like dating a supermodel but only going to first base.

Good look with the sale OP.

I'm not interested in purchasing but I would love to see someone stick it where the sun don't shine for you.

EagleTime 09-23-2012 02:37 PM

Why are you upset at me? Im selling a nice car and looking for a 370z... So why would anyone be upset? When I first put 100,000 I didn't really have a price, I just wanted to see what people would offer. I didn't mean to upset anyone on here :-) Sorry if I did! $28,999 is what im asking OBO. Thanks!

Thechidz 09-23-2012 03:39 PM

if I had the jingle I'd buy this, car looks nice. is the cockpit size much smaller than a 370z?

EagleTime 10-11-2012 12:39 PM

MUCH smaller. Seats are right next up to each other, but that's the nature of the car. It's made for people who want to drive it hard, not have a comfy daily driver.

Mr&Mrs 10-13-2012 04:32 AM

If your waist is any bigger then 34" you will not fit in the seat.

2005 is non supercharged, Lol the only reason to sell a Lotus for a Z is for practicality. Lotus cars tend to slow the on depreciation after the first year hit. OP GLWS.
