Ok letttts get something straight here so that the upcoming prospective new owners fully understand what's going on...

TRADE:

When I say trade, I mean if you don't have the title in hand ready to go so if I accept your offer and say what day are doing this you are prepared to do so.

I am sick of people offering ****, to get my attention only to have not thought it through to begin with. If you make the offer, you best be damn sure you're ready to pull the trigger because I am done with this crap.

If you think that you can offer me your car that you're ASKING $6,000 for and $2000 cash on top of it because I have it listed at $8,000 you're high. If it's trade its going to be of equal value, not of equal ASKING price... PERIOD. I have $9,000 in receipts for parts ALONE. Use common sense "hey is my car really comparable to his?"

SALE:

If you make an offer, you best have your funds lined up. I'm tired of people making offers as if they are al capone and have millions at their disposal only to hear well I didn't get approved.

I may sound like a **** but so would you if you had to deal with all this BS when you've priced a car at such a ridiculous price because you need it gone.

That is all.

vipor 03-01-2010 09:46 AM

feisty.. just my :twocents:, but the aggressive manor you've adopted may cause people to sway away.

you do have an awesome car, but it's not the type of car that people just find in AutoTrader and buy. a very specific type of person looking for a very specific type of car is what you're looking for. this will take time and from the looks of things, will frustrate you many more times before it's all over.

i now almost gurantee you will not make a forum sale of this vehicle just because of that statment, take your anger out on the people who made you those terrible offers through pm's, Posting things like that on public forum is very un-professional, good luck with the sale any how.

Or I can make it clear in public and that way I won't have to deal with it. It's simple, a very well built car for a ridiculous price. If someone needs a hug with their car good luck. America is soft, and I don't have time to invite potential sellers over for dinner to convince them to buy the car. This is priced too low for that.

The post was made so people will see if they are serious then I will take them seriously. If not, don't bother. I'm losing my *** on this car, I'm not in the mood to deal with what I've been getting it's that simple.

It's people like this... Wonder why i'm annoyed? You have zero interest in buying the car yet your liberal *** feels like plugging your unproductive two cents in my for sale thread for what? Ok exactly my point... People wasting my time

vipor 03-01-2010 12:07 PM

Actually it is you who are wasting our time. Some of us have the time to waste (cough) thankfully. Coming in here with what looks like a well thought out legitimate FS thread was a great start. You took pictures and were very descriptive. GJ

Bashing the couple or few at most prospective buyers that have contacted you was not the most intelligent way to go though. More than likely these people were more or less feeling YOU out. It's a 2 way street, no one is just going to blindly hand you money for something as iffy as a car.

It's not even a quick process when it's a brand new car with a factory warranty and a large dealership to go after if there's any issues. You are selling a highly modified salvaged car. It won't be easy, period.

Just like this guy, as an example... It's posted as a clean title car. Yet he says it's salvage? Can he not read? Just like the guys who don't read and waste my time with bogus offers

My mistake MORON there was a Zenki/Kouki/RB26 FS on here last week too that was salvage. Got the two mixed up.

Close the thread and post on NICO, you've already burnt yourself on here. Kthxbai.

Really, you started out great with your post, a few people threw in offers and you went the opposite direction. People, when buying used especially a modified car, are going to try to low ball you because they are unsure of things:
~Are the parts good
~Were they installed correctly
~Has the car been run up
~Any current/past issues

You need to take each offer and reply with no thank you, or I cannot go that low because of X reasons. Be reassuring with your offer with them by talking about some of the above, who did the installs, etc.

it up) I say ok and then I get other offers but trust the guy I talked to for an hour... He is no where to be found on the day were supposed to so this. No email replies no phone calls nothing... Gone

Wow, welcome to selling a car to a private seller. It is exactly like this no matter what you sell, from a 240SX to a Ferrari. You get low ballers, scammers, etc., but you have to be stern with your price and weed through the cr*p offers while still be polite (ie not posting how you are).

Caravanshaka 03-01-2010 12:55 PM

just wondering, is your screen-name a reference to 9/11?

:iagree: it's one of the problems you get as a private seller. just get used to it, you'll find a good home for the car as long as you keep your cool both on the phone AND out here on the internets. remember that text can be interpreted differently than you mean...and right now your posts sound on the angry side.

with that said, if you're interested in working out a trade for a '03 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro with ~65k on the odo (great for snow!) PM me and we can try to work something out.

Considering I am a Soldier and have been since 2004 one would think so.

11Past9 = 911 (as in Porsche 911). It was on a license plate of a GT3 RS and I loved it.

this is a forum bro, were going to post our thoughts about 1. your car 2. your price and 3. You. like i said its a forum its what we do and part of that is giving past experience to others about you and the car, so im pretty sure you've been rude/misunderstanding and hostile, here on the The370Z we trust each other, so if 90% of people on the thread dont like you or the deal, probably not going to happen.

And im a conservative just to let you know.
