This car has been well-kept and has had an oil change every 2,500 miles. The transmission fluid was changed over to Amsoil brand at 20k miles and the shifting is butter smooth. Additionally, all boost lines have been sealed to prevent any potential boost leaks.

The only two notable faults with the vehicle is the driver side "a" pillar, which I will replace. I had a triple gauge pillar on it with an EGT and oil gauge and drilled an additional hole to run the lines without cramping them all into one hole. The second fault is there is a small dent on the driver's side fender that can easily be pulled out.

This car is fast and fun, guys. It would be perfect for someone that is wanting to buy a car that is turbocharged from the factory!

It might help you sell your car if you had pics or links to pics.

G&M Performance 02-05-2009 10:46 PM

^^ Pics are coming. Also trying craigslist.

I used to have a lot of friends that raced these. They sold them right away only because of the shift knob coming off all the time, but aside from that, they were kicking @ss on the streets. My friend had one boosting higher (not sure how much) but on the drag strip he was only half a second behind my Trans Am, and on the freeway we were pretty much neck and neck until about 120-125 where I finally started to pull him.

Cool cars, though.

:bump: I always thought these were kind of cool cars, and was very surprised they took them off the market. What did you edit out of your windshield by the way? Hopefully youre advertising this on all the neon boards as well.

Thanks for the bump, Crash! I've had some fun with this car, and I am sure the next owner will have a lot of fun if they decide to go big turbo.

Anyway, what kind of work did you do on your Trans Am? I'm sure it was a beast!

Thanks and I edited out a base sticker that is on the car. I haven't really gone the extra mile to sell this car on the Neon boards though. Maybe I shouldn't be lazy and do it, right? LoL! Other than that, I have had a few hits on Craigslist, but nothing serious yet. I may see if the dealership that sold me the Z will be kind enough to let me park the car on their lot so I can get it sold fast? HMMM... Making a phonecall right now...

Crash 02-17-2009 07:17 AM

The Trans Am at the time was MOSTLY stock. The motor was a freak and I had really good tire. I can't recall if I'd done my gear swap yet, but I don't think I did. Those SRTs pull for a long time. I was certainly impressed with them. And the comfy Viper seats are a big plus!

G&M Performance 02-19-2009 10:51 AM

^ +1 for the Viper seats. The downside about the stock turbo SRT's is that they die up top. :ughdance: That Trans Am really opens up where the SRT falls short, so I can easily see why you walked your friend. :) Anyway, there is nothing like American muscle. Talking about it kind of makes me want to get another 03-04 Cobra. God I miss that car so much.

Crash 02-19-2009 06:53 PM

^^^ Yep! I was shocked that the SRT didn't do well up top. My friend said 4th gear was like a kick to the nuts... The car would fall flat on its face when he got to 4th.

Yeah, LS1s LOVE top-end. 3500+RPM and the LS1 kicks butt all over the place. More torque/hp, and it just pulled and pulled.
