It's okay to love hanging out with people that have Z's, it doesn't make any of us a loser. A ring ain't cheap. My girl wanted Tiffany, and just like me with taste...she rather settle with nothing than to have something she doesn't want, kinda like the way I was with my choice of car. Times are tough now, we gotta weigh everything out...not everyone can have everything we want around our age.

In & Out sounds gud to me, Btw is it the one going to walmart or different In & Out?

the_student 04-07-2010 10:52 AM

Pepper lunch would make your clothes smell like food for the rest of the night haha. Tastes good though.

scruffydog 04-08-2010 01:50 AM

hey guys, looks like I won't be able to make it this Friday. I'll try to make it next week instead. Have fun.

Midnight Run 04-09-2010 04:55 AM

Hi everyone! this is awesome! didn't know there's a meet for 370z enthusiasts. I don't have a 370z yet but plan on getting one soon.. maybe will stop by one day.

AndyZ 04-09-2010 05:07 AM

SE 04-09-2010 04:38 PM

Doesn't look like I'll be able to make it out tonight. The dealer ordered a replacement lip for the sport package instead of the Nismo undertray so I won't get it back until at least Tuesday or Wednesday. Reschedule for next week?

1GR8Z34 04-09-2010 07:17 PM

ERZperformance 04-10-2010 05:53 AM

bay area 370Z owners we are looking for a 370z to test fit our new 370z dual exhaust which we will release in two month , we are located in Hayward CA

PM me if anyone is interested .

if you do decide to keep the exhaust you only pay for installation which is 150. so exhaust is free

We are looking for one active member on this forum only someone with over 200 post and is located in North Cal

SE 04-10-2010 06:05 AM

pm'ed.

I might be interested in keeping the exhaust if I can cop a center/X-pipe that will fit with the Nismo mufflers, or just a test pipe. I'll even help with the install as necessary.

Here's a recent pic of my car:

Do you guys still meet?

Just got a Z a couple of weeks back, work in the bay area.

You guys ever go for drives on the weekends?

SE 04-13-2010 01:47 AM

Probably not this weekend since I'm working overtime. I might come out at night?

This Friday night anyone?

What about the starbucks on elcamino and lawrence there used to be some meet back in the day. Pretty cool spot. No cops bothering

SE 04-13-2010 10:45 AM

Stealership has my car still. I'll know by tomorrow if I can go.

douglaslperry 04-14-2010 12:47 PM

Front plate removed

You guys had any issues in the Bay Area with your front plate removed. I have mine stowed behind my seat just in case, but so far I haven't been hassled.

:driving:

i had my 350z for 5.5 years with no front plate or harness, and was never hassled. car had 104k miles before i was rear ended (totaling the car).

my 370z now has ~3500 miles, also no front plate, and haven't been hassled, either, but 3500 miles isn't saying much.

SE 04-14-2010 01:00 PM

I'm still running my paper plates and I'm planning on running them until I get my veteran plates in the mail.

I might run something similar to the stillen one that mounts to the tow hook bracket so that I can take it off when I want. The stillen bracket isn't offset enough for me. I don't have the bracket holes drilled either.

scruffydog 04-14-2010 01:09 PM

I am also running with the sticker paper license right now. I've never had front license plate installed in my previous car for 6 years and never had an issue. I did have trouble with my Lexus and that was 2 yrs ago (at the time it was brand new), but that was because I was in SF. A motorcycle cop literally pulled me over in the middle of traffic at night just to give me a fix-it ticket. He saw me drive pass him without a front license plate, and he saw the one in the back. So yea....he gave me a ticket. But hey, that didn't change the fact I didn't like drilling 2 holes in the front bumper. I just double side sticky taped the license plate and had a cop signed it off at the station and removed it again. I'm definitely gonna leave the front off again. I think carrying it is nice but it doesn't really stop the cop from giving a ticket if he really wants to have a power trip. Just because I've had no problem for the longest time, cops are now looking for more reason to give out tickets / to make money / just to be a d*ck because you drive a sports car. All I can say is be careful, it all depends if you're in the right place in the right time.

Just personal experience though, if u goto SF I highly recommend to put your front license plate, tape it on whatever as a temporary solution...cuz it's not worth the trouble. But so far in the east/south bay, i haven't had much trouble. Same goes for tinted windows...it's all luck - we all know we're not suppose to tint it over a limit, but we still do it because it's nicer.

seb 04-14-2010 01:37 PM

scruffydog speaks the truth.

209Z 04-14-2010 03:14 PM

i have 12k miles on the car since march of 09..havnt had any problems. If it does happen a 10 dollar fixing ticket is not a problem..and ill either take it off again or the jdm titled front license plate if necessary =]

SE 04-14-2010 03:31 PM

I think they raised it to ~$25 for fix it's.

scruffydog 04-14-2010 06:54 PM

yea, they raised the price...also, another thing to keep in mind is if they feel like charging you more for an repeating offense, I've heard they can increase the price for same violation time if you repeat it enough. I haven't personally had that happen to me before, but I heard of a friend that had that happen with window tinting. He got caught for tinting his front windows too dark, he paid to had it remove and got caught again (dunno if it's the same cop), but by the third time, they basically jacked up the price for the fix it ticket by multiples of the price. I personally don't know if that's true whether they can do that or not, but I just to throw it out there for others that might care.
