It's a beautiful thang I tell you. Way to raise the bar. Very impressive!

Tempestz 07-21-2014 01:15 AM

That looks great Myotor. Also, from owning an auto and a manual now. I would have to say I believe Myotor would have you guys in the Quarter. The 7at is no slouch.

ZForce 07-21-2014 03:30 PM

Looking good Kevin, lub the new rims ! Are you going 20mm all around ? Looks like the rear could easily go 25mm and make it flush if not a little aggressive. Size tires you went ?

Hey Curtis,
Thanks! 20mm in the rear only- was rubbing a little in the front on the old setup. The new one is 2mm less than stocks and spacers. Stock tire sizes, but I want to move to a 265/35/19 for the front, since I went with 9.5" wide rims...

ZForce 07-22-2014 04:39 PM

Hey Kevin, wow...rubbing in the front tire with stock rays and 20mm... I had heard some people rubbing with 20mm. Mine has never rubbed. 9.5 rims...how is the turning with wider wheel...heavier ?

Curtis,
Yep with the factory Bridgestone RE050s- they seem to be wider than other tires of the same size- I think it's the rim saver that sticks out. I didn't rub til I put those on the front. 1st's car has some Nankangs with the same stock/spacer setup and it doesn't rub. Steering feels the same, but I noticed that it tends to track a little better now- maybe from spreading the sidewalls with the wider rim. Lovin' 'em!!! : ) You're next!!!

ValidusVentus 07-26-2014 01:39 AM

Some interesting info that could pertain to this: Kyle recently showed me a chart that shows that the actual tread width of the Potenza S-04 275/35 tire is a full inch narrower than that of the Michelin PSS of the same size. So its a half inch closer to the fenders/liners in the rear and just slightly less in the front.

If you do the math the tire contact patch of the 275/35 S-04 is the same size as the tire contact patch of a theoretical 250/35 Michelin PSS.

We should do a bit of tire swapping next time we are at the airfield, I'd be real interested in feeling the different grip levels.

Tempestz 08-19-2014 12:56 PM

^^ who is volunteering to let dave use theirs? i bet they wouldn't be much of a tire when you got them back. :p

Welcome to the group! I actually work in Natomas so maybe you could stop by when you move and we can have lunch :D in the meantime if you're on Facebook search "Sacramento tri-valley Z group". You'll find a lot of us there

Hey fellas. I am planning on buying a ride from someone who is a whole seller.
I'm a little hesitate.
He said he works for a shop in the Sacramento area called next level motors or NLM. He said there r 3 locations. Power inn rd, elder creek and one other spot.
I'm not comfortable to give him full payment without taking the car as well. We need to get a bumper for it.
Is this shop legit?
He claims he's kind of well known with the gtr and Z community. He supposedly does a lot of whole sale of variety of cars like the gtr,z and other brands as well.

Akurei 10-07-2014 09:16 PM

You said it yourself. Don't give payment until both parties standards are equally met. One thing about performance shops, no matter how popular they may be, is that if they are selling a car, it was likely abused quite a few times. Whether that is true or not, obviously its a performance shop. If they did any work to it or not, I'd see if it comes with a warranty from them even if it still has its extended warranty. Good luck on that though

Akurei 10-07-2014 09:49 PM

I think i misread. If he has a dealers license and doesnt have the car physically at his shop then he would be going to a auction. If he buys the car and you dont buy it then hes screwed. However you may not be able to see the vehicle until purchased. Not too sure how it works if its that way

tvfreakazoid 10-08-2014 04:11 AM

Yea he said he has a dealers license.
Supposedly he has the car at his shop.
But for some reason he seems hesitate to provide me info to his shop so I can look at the car. Its suppose to be 2014 z.
He said he pretty well known in the z community cause he supposedly has meets and what not.
If he has then I would assume or hope someone knows who this guy is or heard of his shops business called Next Level Motors in the south Sacramento area.
I want to believe this guy cause I really want to purchase a Z.
I kind of made my decision already.
But I wanted to by some miracle if anyone heard of this shop.
I already made the mistake of jumping in so soon (of buying the Z without getting know this person more). I sure as hell don't want to give this guy any money before I know what is going on.

Akurei 10-08-2014 10:12 AM

Yeah man. I wouldn't do anything until you go to his shop. Google map it, go over there during their business hours unless it looks ghetto. Plus, if he is indeed a "whole seller" he would either be buying dozens of cars to get a whole sale price due to quantities. Or he will be buying it from an auction. If you were to get the car for whole sale, the price on the car would be dealers invoice maximum or lower, also depending on mileage and condition

fairz 10-13-2014 08:57 AM

Welcome home!

Just wondering, how are '09-'10 wheels different than '11-'12? Or are you just looking for something that's not 5 years old?

Thanks. Stock wheels were redesigned for 13 & up. I don't mind the 09-12 Rays as long as they are in good conditions

Question for yall - so I have a motor dyne exhaust as well as MD art pipes. In NY they weren't illegal but apparently here I won't be able to pass smog w them on and I don't recall if I have my stocks because all of my belongings haven't been picked up from my home in NY yet.

By any chance does anyone know of a hookup so that I don't have to remove the art pipes and install stocks? I really love how much louder the exhaust is w them on.

Thanks in advance
