More TrackMasters events for your driving pleasure!

Here is part of an e-mail blast I recently got from Doug at TrackMasters Racing. They have a number of dates now open for signup till the end of the year.

Personally, I'm excited about the Autocross event at Sears Point and perhaps join some other friends at Laguna Seca later in the season.

I highly recommend TrackMasters. They are interested in teaching you how to drive the track and safety is their priority. I think it's also a great value considering how much time you get on the track.

Go to www.trackmasters-racing.com to sign up.

------- From TrackMasters -------
Track Density & Value - Keep in mind that TMR car counts are always in the 20 to
30 car range depending on the track. That being said, be sure to take this into
consideration when shopping for events to attend. Stuffing 35 cars on a track
like Laguna Seca is unsafe and we know that from hosting 40+ events at this
facility. However, some other groups are all about 'packing the track' for a
lessor fee. This affects the quality of your track experience, which is what
we strive to keep at a very high level. We know you have a lot of track event
choices in the region, but we're also confident that our programs offer you the
best value for your track buck! High Quality Track Time for a reasonable price
is what we shoot for at every TMR event!

Autocross - As many of you know we routinely host Autocross events in parallel
with open track events at Sears Point. This is again the case on Saturday, Sept
8th. So, if you know any Autocrossers that want to come out and get a HUGE
amount of time on course, then please let them know about this event. Cost is
$75 for the day and registration is open on the TMR website.

Charity Track Event - As you may be aware, every November TMR hosts a Charity
event at Sears Point Raceway. Over the past 8 years TMR drivers have generated
over $40K for the regions 'Charities for Children'. This is a very fun event
and another way we can give back to the community and get some track time in
while doing it! It's a Win / Win for everyone. This years event is Saturday,
November 17th. Mark your calendar, bring some friends, and come out and close
your driving season at Sears Point with TMR! Price is $199

So my Z is stock, but I want to take it to the track. I am looking into one of these packages, so thanks for the info.

Any recommendations? Would it alright to bring my Z out without track tires and whatnot?

Also, about how much track time do you get? E.g. Sonoma Raceway like 5 laps? 20 laps? What's a realistic figure?

You'd prolly be ok stock but your gonna want to at least get an oil cooler, so the car doesn't overheat

Chico370Z 08-21-2012 02:28 PM

Thanks for the response, which oil cooler do you recommend?

Get a Z1 cooler or GTM. TM offers 5 25min sessions or 7 it's up to you. At Infineon a "faster" person will go 16-17 laps in a session if their times are consistent.
