Thinking about parting out my car and getting a new one.

I may be parting out my car within these next few months and picking up a different car... a prius c or a honda fit haha.

Anyway I would have to sell:

HKS Titanium HiPower Exhaust $1300

Volk TE37SL Front 19x9.5 +22 Rear 19x10.5 +12
KW V3 Coilovers
SPL Camber arms
Toe Bolts (uninstalled)
Kics R40 lugs

All parts have 10k on them. Just want to let people know just in case I do sell it. Not sure yet though.

Only exhaust left!

speedfreek 05-17-2012 12:02 PM

Say it aint so?

I guess you gotta do what you gotta do. But man a prius or fit?

I would be interested in a couple of the items depending on when that time comes around. I will keep my eyes open for your FS thread if you do decide to go through with it.

tomnavone 05-17-2012 12:05 PM

Damn that's some wide rear tires 19x20.5:icon14::p

BLUESLATE 05-17-2012 12:06 PM

Both cars suck. I know cuz I considered and test drove them. Hahaha

I'm gonna end up pickin up a Mazdaspeed 3 or Hyundai Veloster Turbo. Kinda leaning towards the MS3 more tho... lol

NickTurnon 05-17-2012 12:10 PM

Why are you getting rid the the Z?

I have also thought about selling it and buying something better on gas. Looking at the Veloster Turbo or even the base veloster. Any car with 40+ mileage..

vividracing 05-17-2012 01:54 PM

Please don't get a Prius. Please.

The Fit is a fun little car. The Veloster is cool. Mazdaspeed 3 would be fun too. So many options.... Just don't get a Prius.

the_student 05-17-2012 04:12 PM

Lol...

I was emotionally attached to my first car which a family member crashed and totaled =[. I did all the work on it myself. I decided since I loved it so much I would get a second one. This was about a year ago. I basically put on the same mods plus the wheels, which i didnt put on the first car....thank God. Got a great deal to install all the parts at the shop where I bought the parts from for the new Z.

I guess this time around its different, its not my first Z. I don't feel attached to the car as much. Anyway I should start saving money for a downpayment on a house before interest rates go crazy.

Thinking about getting a nice gas sipper and then maybe some old beater I can trash at the track...or maybe even a bike!

mosescolladoo 05-17-2012 06:30 PM

how much for that exhaust? let me know asap please!

eddygp 05-19-2012 02:47 PM

Sad to maybe see another Z go :(. Id be interested in the wheels if it comes to that.

the_student 06-23-2012 03:26 PM

Gonna start parting out my car. If anyone is interested in anything let me know. I would very much prefer local pickup. I just sent an oil cooler to some guy in Texas and he didnt receive it so I don't want to go through the hassle anymore haha.

alfonso5110 06-24-2012 05:20 AM

dang that sucks thats why its best to pay for that extra money for that SIGNATURE... but yeah how much for the Volk TE37SL Been thinkin bout picking these up but just havent came around to makin the purchase

Mike 06-24-2012 08:37 AM

Dont get one of those two cars, get something that is fun and economical. I tried to do the fuel sipper thing with a honda CRZ and it was fun, for a couple of months. I had to get rid of it and get a 5.0 mustang. Go with something like the veloster turbo or even a focus. something with just a little more power and still 35+ mpg.

Yeah...we'll see. Actually I am thinking of getting a 4runner...way different than what I initially wanted.

bigdog1250 06-24-2012 08:32 PM

Sorry to hear you're looking to get our of the Z, but I'm sure you'll find yourself in something fun soon enough. I'd look into the Fiat Abarth, Focus ST (release in Fall), or a FR-S/Brz.

As for parts, I'm interested in your toe bolts/camber arms. PM me a price. Thanks

homeryansta 06-24-2012 08:39 PM

price on coilovers and wheels?

Good luck with the part-out. I have a 2011 4Runner as a daily driver and it has been great (except for the gas mileage). Getting a crappy 18.3 mpg, but that's still better than my s/c'd Z. No regrets about the 4Runner, it's been great.

Zrider79 06-24-2012 11:12 PM

Wheels, camber arms, and kw..price for each.

eshuang 06-27-2012 02:47 AM

PM me price for coils and wheels. THanks!

the_student 07-12-2012 12:03 PM

Wheels and lugs are now spoken for. Still have Coilovers, Camber arms/toebolts, and Exhaust available.

alfonso5110 07-12-2012 11:27 PM

How much for coilovers???

Alexshen1 07-13-2012 01:57 AM

the_student 07-19-2012 12:00 PM

I'll let you know Alex.

I think I will eventually get a 4runner. I love the e46 M3 and was thinking of getting one. My friend has one and kind of test drove it today.

But there are are couple of things I really loved about the Z that the M does not have that I am used to. Steering feel and torque. The Z's steering is much more mechanical feeling, I knew exactly what the tires were doing. Its probably the most important thing to me. The torque wasn't as great in the M3 and I didn't expect it to be a torquey engine anyway. But, that engine loves to rev and it feels great on the top end! haha.

I also was looking at used e90 m3's...but I dont know if I would like to spend so much money on a car. I'll just save my money for the day I can get a Porsche 997.2 GT3/RS or a 996 GT3!

Funny how the milage thing seems to fall to the wayside once you start test driving stuff. My vote, if you still looking for a sippy car, is for the 250+ Hp Focus. No point having the FRS, BRZ or Honda Civic Si taking you off the line.

Thnx for the advice. Focus is looking good to me actually.

I think the soon to be wife of mine really wants a 4runner and I kinda want one now too. Seems like that will be my next car.

Bump...I still have my exhaust left!!!

eddygp 08-01-2012 12:50 AM

Good price on the exhaust. If I didnt already have one, I would have picked this up too!
