Bay Area Window Tints?
 

Anyone know where I can find a reliable window tint around the bay, preferably in SJ? And around how does it cost to get it done for you guys that already did em?

ohmikegod, I checked out Yelp and Tint R Us and Mr Tint has good reviews.

What percent are you doing and is it going to be all around?

Thanks! I'm planning on going about 25% everything besides the windshield. From the looks of the window tint thread 25% seems to look the nicest imo.

Cool, I am still debating if I should do mine. I don't want to get in trouble with the cops. Since I don't drive it everyday, I think I should be okay but you never know! If I ever decide to do mine, I will probably go to Auto Mall Tint Specialist at Fremont.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Kinda want to avoid the hassle with cops but my Z is my weekend car so I'm gonna take a shot at it. I'm planning on doing my tint this weekend at Elite Auto Films in Fremont, I gave em a call and they seem really good along with all the positive reviews on yelp.

Ah Goshan (owner?). I am still thinking about doing the clear bra with them. I know Premiere Paint Protection has great reviews but they're really expensive compared to Goshan's Elite Auto Films. Let me know your experience with Elite Auto Film. I may bring it to them once I decide if I want tint or not.

Definitely recommend going to Auto Mall Tint Specialist. They got all ranges from decent quality to high quality. It will be around 400-500 for tint all around, but it's lifetime warranty. I've had mine for a few years now on a different cars, and no discoloration. All my friends have them too. They really discourage you from doing anything darker than 50% and really warn you before they tint the car so you know what you are getting into. I think they told me they will not do darker than 35% or they don't even have it.

I really want 35% all around or 40%. I saw 50% and 20% on Altima and it didn't look that bad.

I had to postpone my tinting job for a bit due to some unexpected things. But after seeing 25% vs 35% in person, I'm definitely leaning towards 35% all around.

I had my tint, as well as clear bra installed by Goshan. His work is top notch. I recommended many forum members to him and I'm sure they can vouch for him. I had 20 percent installed on the back, and 35 percent for the fronts. Let me know if you guys have questions. Thanks!

i did 5% back and the two small windows, and 35% driver/passenger windows!

I just finished doing my tints a couple weeks ago. 25% fronts and 18% rears. Looks great. Had it done at California Glass Tinting, did a awesome job.

Anyone know where I can have a place do black vinyl wrap for the roof?? I'm having trouble finding a place that does that.

Look up Jermey from Invisiguard on yelp. He did my clear bra and does vinyl wrap. He's planning on wrapping his whole corvette with metallic gray vinyl. He's mobile and has a few shops that he works out of.

Hey guys, I finally got my tints done and also got my vinyl for my roof. Here are some pics incase any of you guys are looking to do something like that in the future. 25%F/18%R with gloss black roof. Definitely recommend California Glass Tinting Co. and SS Customs for tints and vinyl. Prices were also really competitive with others in the area.
