Supercharger orderd and ready to install

Stillen Supercharger ordered and being installed by z car garage will keep u all updated on the build. First Northern California supercharged 370z?

Josh@STILLEN 06-22-2010 12:54 AM

Awesome!

There is one being finalized at Beshoff Infiniti.. held up by some warranty work.. but definitely one of the first.. and I believe the first 370Z!

AndyZ 06-22-2010 02:29 AM

Congrat.
Im sure you are the first supercharged on nor cal
and im the first TT nor cal lol
lets meet up someday maybe next friday?

370Z JT 06-22-2010 02:38 AM

Realisticaly, what should my budget be if I supercharged the Z and targeted HP is a modest 400? 7spd auto, daily driven.

Waiz 06-22-2010 02:44 AM

In for progress

AndyZ 06-22-2010 06:46 AM

JT/ i say $5000-6000 for kit and extra $1000 for install and little extra parts are optional except oil cooler. That this is must
for me when i was goin for SC. Ill get headers, oil cooler, HFC or testpipe, exhaust, and flywheels and clutch which you dont ever have to think about for your tranny lol
i can say about $10k is fair enough for it

AndyZ 06-22-2010 06:49 AM

Oh and you will easily pass 400whp with any supercharger
you are looking for about 450hp

tomnavone 06-22-2010 09:34 AM

Andyz is pretty much spot on the prices. The one thing i did to spoil myself was to get the hks camp II with all the sensors. Basically all of my engine info is related back to me through my navigation than through gauges. Keeps it alot cleaner looking and unfortunately alot more money than a few guages.

For info on the hks campII
HKS USA CAMP2 (more)

TongMan 06-22-2010 06:05 PM

will there be pics of the install?

tomnavone 06-22-2010 06:27 PM

stiso 06-22-2010 10:24 PM

congrats, just wondering how much there charging you for the install?

tomnavone 06-23-2010 12:04 AM

its 10 - 12 hours of work. most shops charge $100 to $150 an hour. Luckily since this is one of the first installs im getting a special deal. Wish i could elaborate more. Beshoff infiniti wanted like $2700 for install :bowrofl:

Its been installed for two weeks. Still waiting on another tune from stillen. Car keeps getting check engine light and its running too rich. Check the stillen supercharger thread for my progress or lack of progess from stillen still trying to work out the kinks on this kit. I wouldnt recondmend getting the stillen supercharger kit till they figure out how to tune it.
For comparison my dyno with the supercharger kit and stillens advertised power for the 370

SE 08-04-2010 08:00 PM

Hmm..definitely needs a tune.

wasnt really problems. U pushed really hard in racing it a lot when u should of kept it slow in the beg and made sure everything was good to go. To the point where your car started smoking :shakes head:.

AndyZ 10-24-2010 04:01 PM

it was not because of my driving habbit,
the oil stucked up in turbo oil line, and pressured up
leaked out to the oil seal
first of all, i dont race much, once in about 1~2week?

AndyZ 10-28-2010 05:42 PM

any update on supercharger?
i wanna see how this thing can roar lol

tomnavone 10-29-2010 12:39 PM

Still waiting on stillen. The kit was installed on july 7 and its still not drivable. I think they gave up. Save your money and don't deal with stillen that's my advise they have been nothing short of a joke.

jlaughman22 11-21-2010 09:14 PM
