The guys at PSI told me to just go with K&N filter, He says he has actually seen HP loss with the CAI on the 370z. Filters will do about the same HP gain maybe a little less for way cheaper

not true :tiphat:

Dynos have proven you will see significantly more with the long tube CAI. They were probably refering to the short tubes/HAI:p, but yes, drop-in's & silicone tubes could gain you about 6-8rwhp's.

OP, you will find they both show relatively similar gains with maybe slightly higher gains reported from the Gen 3's .

-The downside with the Gen 3's is you have to dremel out a larger opening for the tubes.

-The downside to the Injen's is having to relocate your washer and the possibility of water locking the engine. The filters sit low on the bumper and water could enter if you happen to drive over a deep puddle. Rare, but it has happened.

note: both setup will require bumper removal.
