New to Long Island and I need a Car Wash!
 

Hey guys, I just moved to Long Island (port Jeff) last Friday and all the car washes I see are the ones where small wheels pick up your car and pull it through. But, I have fast intentions exhaust and in my experience, it doesn't clear the guide. I'm from Minnesota where every gas station has a touch free wash, and then I would take it home and wipe it down.

Does anyone know of a cheaper car wash around that doesn't have that kind of set up? Hand washing is not an option for where I live.

LOL. Welcome to NY. I use coin machines and try not to use the brush there. There is a spot everyone talks about online near like Jamaica/Hillside but, Id rather not drive there. The coin machine by my house is only $4 and I bring all my stuff and move the car over to detail after.

Since you're in Port Jeff you'll have to take a drive for a decent car wash. There's a self car wash out by Deer Park. If not, try over by reaching out to LIDetailers he is out by you and is a mobile professional detailer.

i wont take my cars through a touch free carwash machine if you paid me. They'll scratch and leave a sh!t tons of swirls everywhere. I do two bucket method in my driveway and a water hose.

Like I said, hand wash is not an option. I'm not super particular about my paint, I got my car with swirl marks.

There is a car wash on Rt 25 in Smithtown across from the Mitsubishi dealer (about a 15-20 drive west from Port Jeff). Not sure if it has the tracks that pull your car through or not, as I have never been there. There are a ton of car dealers in that area, and it looks like that is the place all the dealers bring their cars.

I'll check that out when I have some extra time. Thanks for all the help, google searches really don't let you know these things.

if you're ever out by Deer park or West Babylon just message me. One of my best friends has a gas station where we go and wash our cars. He has a good automatic car wash there too
