Racing Classes
there will be prizes $$$ for winners in each class but to says its not worth it if your N/A :shakes head: its just a fun day for anyone who wants to run there car on the strip . even if your not planning on running still got a parking lot of nice cars too look at and then we get to see the GTR.s run and make everything look like it was in slow motion :excited: |

It would not be fun when for the final run a 14 second automatic z racers a 15 second automatic z. After the race, it won't matter who crossed the finish line first, only after the announcer says who the winner is is when you know who won. Also the manual trans cars have very hard time to compete with automatic cars. Staging, consistency, & take off is like two different worlds. This is just me but since I'm not racing, I won't drive 2/3 hours just to look at some cars or to see modded GT-R's that are not price wise in my world race each other. |
^what the f*&k ???

Thanks |
The event will be a blast no matter if you have a N/A 370z, FI 370z or a razor scooter. It's a great event to see awesome Nissan/Infiniti cars, meet fellow enthusiasts and have a great time.

I feel guilty because of some of my posts

I hope this year's event is as good & better. All Z's owners should try to make it. It's the best time to see many different Nissans & see how fun drag racing is. The new bracket racing will give EVERYONE a chance to win. After having gotten a chance to have a great time last year, it was wrong for me to act the way I did. Sorry, Andre |

a bump for the Atco meet on Sept. 22nd
I was always promoting drag racing, and had a great time last year. I had my emotions take over & I took a low road.
I reminded myself that I was acting like the low life person I met at a dyno meet on L.I. So I'd like to take, if I may, my posts back. The Atco meet is an opportunity to see many Z's & other sport Nissans, as well as some cool people. |
If anyone wants to leave early from Queens, some cars are meeting at Koeppel Nissan (74-15 Northern Blvd in Jackson Heights 11372) Meet at 5am, rolling out no later than 5:30
|
check that meeting at 6am, cause an hour more of sleep sounds great. Leaving by 615 so dont be late!!!!
|
looking forward to hearing how the 350's & 370's do in N/A classes
Since I participated last year & know how hard & well some of those z's & Infinities tried & did, I guess I'm kind of curious. Who won? Any of those 300+whp Z's break into the 12's. I believe one of the two bracket classes was 12.99 & lower. Is there a site (like last year) that posted the racing????
The 350z.com site has only a post about a turbo Z doing well. |
Was there a bikini contest???
I was going to bring one of the girls from my 350z strip club thread & have her enter that contest.
Since that thread(for what ever reason) was deleted, I guess that kind of ended it. I also was deleted. Maybe next year if the sponsors are different, & I have a competitive car, & I'm still alive, then I would be happy to participate. I was treated very nicely by the tech/performance moderators, the rest of the moderators were emotionally involved in the political & other threads(strip club). They posted more than the members. I guess they had the advantage :icon17: They had the power to delete everything & anybody.:roflpuke2: Moderators should be like boxing referees. Do their job, without being in the middle of the ring with the fighters. Like there's 3 or 4 of them in almost every thread:icon17: |
I was in the 13 & slower bracket...not with my z..with my 09 maxima...please help me understand this...elimination round...I dialed in a 14.80 time...I ran a 14.84...the guy in the other lane dialed in a 13.48...and ran a 13.60...and I lost...I thought it was who was closer to their dialed in time...am I wrong?

If you talked with me before the meet, you would be the winner

Of course when you have real racers not the people that showed up in the bracket class there, you would have to do a lot of things perfect if you hope to have some chance in winning. 1) reaction time 2) consistent times 3) winning the race without breaking/going under your dialed in time. Of course there's much more to know like knowing where the finish line is, like breaking hard before crossing it if you're ahead of the other car, so NOT to go under your dialed in time, like cutting the light close/quick reaction time/taking a chance, ONLY when you know your competition is very good, like he has quick reaction times & consistent performance close to his dial in. When your running against a not experienced racer you should not take a chance & getting a red light with a very quick/take a chance reaction time. There's also staging that gives you an advantage that most don't even understand & there's MORE. It sounds like I would have won with one hand tied behind my back & reading a book during the racing :icon17: So what car won bracket one & what times. Bracket two & times? Was your race the final run? Any z's in bracket one(12.99) or better? Sorry that you lost. If you asked before going, I'm sure you would have had a very good chance to win it all. Sorry.... |
Its cool..my best time for the day was a 14.73...this was my first time in the track...to be honest with you...I didn't watch the races...after I ran I stayed in the parking lot with some friend until my bracket came up again...thanks for clearing that up for me....now I know for next year
