Advice for Winter Prepping My Z to DD
Hey guys
I am going to have to unfortunately daily drive my Z this winter. So in anticipation of the Northeast winter can you guys who daily drive your Z's give me some good advice on things like maybe antifreeze and coolants? My Z will also have to be outside so any advice on how to keep the car safe from harsh cold temperatures I would appreciate. I know snow tires and wheels make a big difference so I will probably pick that up soon off of Tire rack. I searched but didnt find much for winter prep of a DD parked outside. Thanks! |
Whatever you plan on spending on winter prepping your car should be the amount you pay for a winter beater.... DON'T DO IT!

If you must, winter tires like Blizzaks, are required. Possibly chains, but if you're not careful, they may scratch your car. Couple bags of sand in the trunk for weight, and try wash your car (especially the underside) to prevent the salt on the roads to stick because it can lead to cancer for your car (aka rust). If you need to park it outside, I would recommend a cover to help.
